The Royal Walking Tour

Lasting approximately two hours, an expert guide will take you to see various clubs, churches, and magnificent palaces that have played important roles in the lives of the royals.

See the impressive St James’s Palace – where Princess Anne, Princess Beatrice, and Princess Alexandra live, and, of course, Buckingham Palace - residence to His Majesty the King. You may even see the changing of the guard and learn more about this iconic and historic tradition.

As you travel through the city, pass the famous Fortnum and Mason and learn about the history of cream teas – an important and scrumptious British tradition.

Learn odd and unusual facts about the Royal Family, see the horse guards, and important parts of the Crown Estate. Learn about Royal Warrants on Jermyn Street, a place in London known for its many establishments that supply the Royal Family with various goods and services. This is an excellent way to indulge your royal interests and find out more about the most luxurious spots in the city.

The Royal Walking Tour starts at 10.00 am sharp from the bus stop outside the King's Gallery's entrance. The tour ends around 11.30 am, approximately at Westminster Abbey or Buckingham Palace. Please ask your guide at the beginning of the tour.

Terms and conditions for Royal London Walking Tour Tickets

  • Your ticket is only valid for the date and time booked; you will not be allowed to use it for a different date or time.
  • The Guard Change may not be operational in bad weather conditions. On these occasions, we will visit the Horse Guards for a photo stop instead.
  • Changing of the Guard days can get very busy, and people with large luggage, prams, and strollers may find it difficult to navigate the area.
  • Comfortable shoes are highly recommended as this is a 1.5/2 hour tour.
  • The terrain of this walking tour is not wheelchair or pram/stroller-friendly.
  • Cancellation Policy: Your tickets can be cancelled free of charge up to 72 hours before the tour date. No refunds are given for cancellations made within 72 hours.
