Forget gambling, Las Vegas has so much more to offer
Here we take you through the best adrenaline activities you could do in Las Vegas including giant ziplines, helicopter tours and more.

Common activities in Las Vegas usually come in the shape of a casino, but the Entertainment Capital of the World offers much more than just gambling.

If you like an adrenaline rush then you have come to the right place as there are a range of Las Vegas excursions that you can do from awesome Las Vegas helicopter tours to off-road trips in the desert. Here we take you through some of the best activities you can do in this incredible city.

Helicopter tours

A must-do activity during your vacation to Las Vegas is to take a helicopter tour.

Las Vegas Strip helicopter tours are stunning and Maverick Helicopter are a trusted tour operator that allows guests to fly in a $3 millionhelicopter over one of the most popular destinations in the world – at night!

You will get the best views of iconic landmarks such as the Bellagio, MGM Grand, Caesars Palace, Eiffel Tower, Luxor and the Stratosphere Tower. Most trips are a 12-15 minute flight.

If you want to take a helicopter tour to the Grand Canyon then there are plenty of tours available from Las Vegas as well.

Water Rafting

You can mix a helicopter ride with rafting, an amazing experience that you will never forget.

Trips begin on the outskirts of Boulder City and travel down the Lower Portal Road, which was once used by construction workers building the dam, before you board your rafts at the bottom of the Hoover Dam. You can see waterfalls and hot springs along the way as well as wildlife such as Desert bighorn sheep, osprey and great blue herons, so don’t forget your camera!

Black Canyon Adventures are a well-respected company that offer water rafting trips at the base of the iconic Hoover Dam.The trip will be fully narrated, lunch is included and you even get to stop off at a beach beside the Colorado River.

Visitors will get a bird’s eye view of the Hoover Dam and the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge during a 12-mile trip through the Black Canyon National Water Trail, which takes around three hours.

Wildlife desert tour

Vegas Off Road Tours offer an off-road wildlife desert tour, which is a fantastic way to experience Southern Nevada.

Southern Nevada boasts the Mojave Desert and it is full of huge dunes, fields, man-made lakes, natural lakes, the famous Death Valley, dried up ancient lakes, canyons and more. If it is wildlife you are after, then this area is also bursting at the seams with the iconic wild horses – a sight to behold as well as the array of wild flowers, antelopes, mule deer, and humming birds. And if you are extremely lucky you might even see the endangered desert tortoise!

Vegas Off Road Tours offer one-hour Polaris RZR tours to see the incredible wildlife and experience Southern Nevada’s true beauty.

Vegas Off Road Tours

When thinking of things to do in Vegas, going on a zipline would probably not be something you would think of immediately, but you can now do this as part of a Grand Canyon Helicopter and zipline tour.

Flightlinez Bootleg offers you zipline tours and has been doing so since 2008 when Flightlinez Bootleg Canyon opened to the public. The canyon might have originally got its name from all the illegal moonshine stills operating in the canyon, but now people head there to reach speeds of up to 60mph on a two and a half hour epic adventure.

There are four different ziplines varying in length and height that carry you over one and a half miles of canyons and drop you off 1,000 vertical feet cliffs. You can get a glimpse of mountain bikers as there are a number of highly rated cross country bike trails that run beneath Flightlinez Bootleg’s runs, and you might even be able to catch a glimpse of the animals that share the mountain during your ride.

Quad biking

Sticking with the four-wheeled theme, you and your family can take part in a quad bike ride in Lake Mead National Park.

Grand Canyon and ATV Adventure tours are available and are a great idea for an excursion from Las Vegas.

This particular quad biking tour will take you along the stunning Colorado River and your guide will inform you about the history of the Lake Mead National Park, the mines located in Eldorado Canyon and Colorado River itself.

Go Karting

At Pole Position Raceway Las Vegas you can feel the thrill of indoor go kart racing. Races usually last approximately 10 minutes and are on offer to both children and adults.

Packages include two, three and four race formats and Pole Position Raceway Las Vegas is based in the middle of the Strip in Las Vegas, making it easy to get to. There is also a daily bus that picks up from all the major hotels in the city to the race track.
