Last Chance to Ride Disneyland’s Tower of Terror!
But don’t worry, something new is coming!
The Tower of Terror will soon be closing at Disneyland California, and the park have planned a pretty special send-off…

Last month, Disneyland California announced that the popular Tower of Terror attraction would soon receive an exciting makeover, transforming it into an all new ride called ‘Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT’! Themed on the action packed movie, this new ride is sure to get your heart racing. If you’re a fan of the Tower of Terror (and let’s face it, who isn’t?) you’ll be pleased to know that the park has planned a whole host of activities to bid a fond farewell to the theme park favourite. Don’t miss your last chance to try this incredible ride before it ‘checks out’ on the 2nd January 2017.

From 9th September until 31st October, the park will be running a ‘Late Check-Out’ service, meaning guests will be able to experience the Tower of Terror like never before. Face the scariest ride of all at the scariest time of year in complete darkness! As if this ride wasn’t already frightening enough, add in the fact that it’s Halloween season, and that you’ll be engulfed in total darkness, and you might start to get an idea of just how terrifying it will be. Disney have promised that “the deepest, darkest corner of the imagination will get even darker”.

There will also be a range of commemorative merchandise in the gift shops giving ultimate fans the chance to pick up some exclusive souvenirs. If all of this isn’t exciting enough, there will also be special food and beverage items themed on the famous attraction, so you can expect something terrifyingly tasty! Make sure you don’t miss the perfect photo opportunity either! There will be a designated photo location with vintage luggage, worn suitcases and other mysterious belongings that have been left behind by the past hotel guests over the years. The famous Silver Lake Sisters (Dolly, Dottie & Ethel) will also return as the guests of honour, putting on a dazzling performace at the Hollywood Tower Hotel each day during the Halloween Period. Make sure you marvel in the glitz and glamour of the iconic hotel one final time!

Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: BREAKOUT

If you love the exhilarating drops that the Tower of Terror provides, don’t worry, you’ll still be able to get your adrenaline fix! Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT will completely transform the appearance of the ride, but the dramatic elevator drops will remain. Step inside an eerie fortress where The Collector is holding the Guardians of the Galaxy captive. Set to a rocking soundtrack, the race is on to save them, and it’s down to you (with a little help from the mischievous Rocket of course!).
