The New York Knicks are the lucky team who get to play their home games at the world-famous Madison Square Garden, possibly the world’s best arena.

While each game will no doubt be exciting and provide fantastic entertainment, just like with football, there are also basketball rivalries that make for exceptionally electrifying viewing. On the 24th November and 26th December, the Knicks take on the Brooklyn Nets, the team’s inter-city rivals. On October 26th and December 1st, two major northeastern cities - New York City and Boston - battle their teams, when the Knicks face the Boston Celtics. Finally, on January 12th and April 5th, the Knicks square-up against Miami Heat, their long-standing rivals with a bitter history. If you’re in the Big Apple on those dates, you won’t want to miss these games!
Madison Square Garden
Of course, the other main reason to watch the New York Knicks play is an excuse to visit the iconic Madison Square Garden arena. It’s home to many major sporting events and has hosted a range of sell-out shows.
‘The Gardens’ is located just above Penn. Station, which is served by a number of subway lines and buses across the city. Your Uber or taxi driver should know exactly how to get to the venue too, as it’s a major tourist attraction.
