The Orlando theme parks go all out for the Christmas season and Busch Gardens is no different. Their annual ‘Christmas Town’ festival will be returning on 17th November, running through to the 31st December, with more fun, lights and Christmas cheer than ever before!
If you’ve already got your Busch Gardens tickets, you’re in luck, because visiting Christmas Town is included with your admission. So, if you’re visiting Orlando soon make sure this is at the top of your list. Here are some of the fun things you can do at this year’s Christmas celebration…
Meet Santa & Rudolph
No matter what age you are, you won’t be able to resist snapping a few selfies with Santa and his adorable reindeer Rudolph. You’ll actually be able to step inside Santa’s house for an unforgettable meet and greet experience, where you can tell him all your Christmas wishes.
Then head over to Rudolph’s Winter Wonderland where you can meet some of the characters from the famous Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer movie. Look out for Clarice, Sam the snowman, Yukon Cornelius and Bumble the abominable snow monster!
Watch amazing shows
There are lots of fantastic Christmas shows to see at Busch Gardens, and this year a brand new show called ‘Christmas Is’ has been added to the exciting line-up. The lively show will take place at the Dragon Fire Grill and will feature “contemporary music that celebrates seasonal traditions”.
You can also enjoy fan favourite shows like ‘Christmas on Ice’ which stars world-class ice skaters, ‘Elmo’s Christmas Wish’ which is guaranteed to keep the little ones entertained, and ‘Three Kings Journey’ which tells the fascinating story of the journey to Bethlehem.
Ride your favourite attractions in the dark
During the Christmas Town celebrations, Busch Gardens will stay open for longer, closing as late as 10pm on some nights. This will give you more time to explore the park. You’ll also be able to brave the park’s scariest coasters in the dark! So, get ready to brave the likes of Falcon’s Fury, Cheetah Hunt and SheiKra in darkness. You can also expect the queues to be shorter at night, so you can ride your favourite attractions again and again.
Have brunch with Santa!
This year, guests will be able to enjoy a brand new experience at the park- brunch with Santa! This one-of-a-kind dining experience is something you’ll never forget. Enjoy a hearty brunch buffet alongside Santa Claus himself, with plenty of time to chat and take photos. The mouth-watering menu includes fried chicken and waffles, vegetable frittata, French toast, Belgian-style waffles, crispy bacon and sweet potato pie. You’ll also be able to choose from a range of delicious desserts when you’re done. This is a separately ticketed experience so make sure you book early if you don’t want to miss out.
Take LOTS of photos
As well as the exciting character encounters, there are lots of festive photo opportunities throughout the park. Walk through an enchanting twinkling light tunnel, pose next to huge Cookie Monster and Elmo nutcracker figures and stand beneath the towering Christmas tree covered in lights. Make sure you’ve got your camera at the ready, as you never know what’s around the corner.
