Dubai is becoming an increasingly popular holiday destination and it’s not just for the adults. It’s time for the whole family to get stuck in! So, check out the below attractions and experiences which will no doubt keep both kids and adults alike entertained during your holiday to Dubai.
1. IMG Worlds of Adventure
Why not take a trip to the World’s largest Indoor Theme park (Dubai does nothing small!) and allow the kids to immerse themselves in a world of marvel superheroes and cartoon favourites. However, make sure you wear your comfy shoes as the park is set within an enormous 11 acres of land! With unlimited access to the rides and attractions throughout the day, the children can meet the likes of Spiderman and the Powerpuff girls, step into the world of Lazytown or journey through the jungle on a thrilling Dinosaur adventure. With exhilarating rides bringing your kids favourite characters to life, they’re sure to be left both amazed and exhausted!
2. Ski Dubai
Skiing in the middle of the desert?! Why not! Pop down to the Mall of the Emirates (yes, the centre is inside a mall!) and experience this wonderful winter wonderland. If the kids are old and brave enough, they can join the adults on the slopes for two hours of unlimited skiing or snowboarding. If not, the little ones can still enjoy toboggan runs, bobsled slides or even get up close with the penguins in an immersive encounter. Open to all ages, and skiers of all levels, the kids are bound to be amused whilst staying cool away from the desert heat.
All of the equipment you will need is included in your ticket so there is no need to get weighed down by hefty skiing gear.
Take a trip to the iconic and breath-taking resort of Atlantis the Palm, set in the heart of the Palm Jumeirah, and be sure to experience a day of adventures, thrills and family fun. Located at the heart of the resort is the world of Aquaventure; a tropical paradise filled with mysterious tunnels and thrilling water-coasters.
Aquaventure is truly a family day out with plenty to entertain the whole gang. Will you take the ‘Leap of Faith’ plunging down a 60mph vertical slide through a shark infested lagoon, splash around in the enormous water playground ‘Splashers’ or spend the day floating around the waterways of the ‘River Rides’? However you fancy spending the day there is always plenty of opportunity for swimming and sunbathing in and around the huge lagoon pool centre piece.
If you do tire of the midday sun be sure to pop over to the Lost Chambers Aquarium, also located at Atlantis the Palm, where the kids will get lost in a world of over 65,000 incredible marine creatures.
4. Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo
If the kids need a longer break from the Dubai heat, head over to the world famous Dubai Mall. Here you will find a whole host of activities for all the family to enjoy and shopping is just the start.
At Dubai Mall you will find one of the most popular attractions in Dubai, the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. Home to 33,000 aquatic animals including sharks and rays, the Dubai Aquarium is sure to appeal to family members of all ages and there are plenty of immersive experiences. You can view the enormous tanks via a glass bottom boat tour, take a dip in a snorkelling cage or – for the very brave – have a swim with the sharks!
If you have any time left, or fishes are not really for you then take a trip to the Indoor Ice Rink or the interactive world of Kidzania (both also located within the Dubai Mall).
5. LEGOLAND Dubai
LEGOLAND Dubai is a perfect spot for the youngest family members who may not be big enough for some of the other experiences.
With the structure of the park made up of over 60 million LEGO bricks and featuring six themed lands, LEGOLAND Dubai will offer an exhilarating, educational experience. Using their imagination, little ones can build their own LEGO cars and robotics, seek thrilling adventures as they recover stolen treasure from ancient temple ruins and become princesses and knights as they conquer dragons on the family coaster ride.
If you are having so much fun and are not ready for the day to end, then why not take a trip to the LEGOLAND Dubai Water Park? There's plenty to do aside from sunbathing including building a LEGO raft to race down the slopes.
A day at the LEGOLAND resort is sure to provide plenty of fun and lasting memories of your holiday to Dubai.
