If you’ve already got your LEGOLAND Florida tickets and need some inspiration for your visit, look no further. We’ve put together a list of the things you must do at the park…
1. Explore the LEGO MOVIE WORLD
The LEGO MOVIE WORLD is the newest addition to the LEGOLAND Florida park and one you definitely need to check out when you visit. This incredible expansion was unveiled in March 2019, offering LEGO fans even more exciting experiences than before.
The LEGO MOVIE WORLD has a taco kiosk, a souvenir shop, a huge space-themed playground and three amazing new attractions. You’ll be able to ride a triple-decker flying couch on THE LEGO MOVIE Masters of Flight, bounce around Cloud Cuckoo Land on Unikitty’s Disco Drop and fight off aliens on the Battle of Bricksburg! You can even stop by Emmet’s apartment to say hello to him and his pals.
2. Try Granny’s Apple Fries
Granny’s Apple Fries are an iconic LEGOLAND snack and a visit to the park wouldn’t be complete until you’ve tried them. This mouth-watering snack is made from warm slices of Granny Smith apple ‘fries’ coated with cinnamon and sugar and served with a side of sweet whipped cream dipping sauce. You can also choose to get a serving of ice cream or warm caramel dipping sauce on the side. Either way, these are delicious!
This famous treat was created at LEGOLAND which means this is the only place you’ll find fries quite like this.
3. Watch the Battle for Brickbeard’s Bounty Ski Show
While LEGOLAND Florida is home to plenty of exciting rides, that’s not all you’ll find. There’s also a host of fun shows you can enjoy throughout the day, but the Battle for Brickbeard’s Bounty Ski Show has to be one of our favourites. This epic show takes place in the Ski Stadium in Pirate’s Cove and lasts around 20 minutes.
The story goes that the famous pirate ship Brickbeard’s Bounty has been found and is now being guarded safely in Pirates Cove. It’s down to you along with Miranda Valentina and her loyal Imperial Guards to help protect it from a gang of pirates! Prepare for an action-packed performance as Captain Brickbeard and his buccaneers swarm the stadium in this live-action show filled with water skis, watercrafts, boats and baddies!
4. Ride the top attractions
LEGOLAND Florida is home to more than 50 rides, shows and attractions and we’d recommend trying out as many as possible during your visit. All of the attractions at the park are family friendly so you can enjoy riding them together. Some of the most popular rides at LEGOLAND Florida are the wooden coaster Coastersaurus, the Boating School and Mia’s Riding Adventure, so make sure you check these out. If you’ve got thrill seekers in your group, The Dragon is a fun filled coaster that will have you screaming all the way around the track.
The GREAT LEGO Race is a huge hit with guests, so we’d suggest putting this on your must-do list too. This virtual reality attraction transports you to a wacky world where everything is made from LEGO. Make sure you don’t miss it!
For some 4D fun, experience the incredible LEGO NINJAGO- The Ride in LEGO NINJAGO WORLD. This attraction uses state of the art technology that allows you to throw fireballs, lightning bolts and shards of ice at your LEGO enemies.
Don’t leave without trying the newest attractions at the park over in the LEGO MOVIE WORLD area. THE LEGO MOVIE Masters of Flight will send you soaring through the air on a flying couch!
5. Get Your Driving License
This is a must do attraction that the little ones are sure to love! Children between the ages of 6-13 can attend the Ford Driving School to learn the rules of the road and earn their very own Driver’s license. Each child will take control of their own miniature vehicle before learning about traffic safety, practicing travelling around realistic roads, stopping at red lights and much more. There’s also a Junior Driving School for children between the ages of 3 and 5. Grown-ups will love seeing the smile on the kids faces when they come back with their driving license in hand!
6. Visit MINILAND USA
MINILAND USA is another must see attraction at LEGOLAND Florida. This unique area contains over 32 million LEGO bricks with impressive recreations of cities from all over America, including Las Vegas, Washington DC and New York City. Look out for the Golden Gate Bridge, the iconic Las Vegas sign, the White House, the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building and much more.
Star Wars fans will also want to check out the LEGO recreations of famous scenes from the Star Wars movies. You’ll also be able to pose with life-size LEGO models of Darth Maul, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and Darth Vader.
7. Make Some LEGO Pals
At LEGOLAND Florida, you’ll be able to come face to face with your favourite LEGO characters. In LEGO NINJAGO World, you’ll find the stars of the LEGO NINJAGO Movie. Get ready to snap a selfie with Kai (Ninja of Fire) and Nya (the Ninja of Water).
LEGOLAND Florida also has a new area of the park called ‘Buddy’s Character Corner’ where you can meet a host of familiar LEGO characters including Buddy, Max, the LEGO Friends and Emmet from THE LEGO MOVIE! These amazing character encounters are something you’ll never forget.
