Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go behind the scenes at SeaWorld, Busch Gardens and more? It is possible to take part in these once in a lifetime tours, where you’ll be treated like a VIP and get to explore parts of your favourite park that you didn’t even know existed! Here’s a round-up of some of our favourite behind the scenes tours of the best theme parks…
1) VIP tour of Universal Studios Hollywood
Hop on a luxury air-conditioned private trolley for your VIP tour of the Universal Studios Hollywood Park, complete with your own personal guide. This is an invaluable tour to take, particularly if you’re a huge fan of the films and TV shows made by Universal as a lot of footage is shot inside the park itself! You’re free to get on and off the trolley in the sets of films such as War of the Worlds and TV shows including Desperate Housewives. We loved having our photo taken outside of Susan’s house on Wisteria Lane! The VIP tour pass also include free front of the line access and a fantastic free gourmet lunch. You can book tickets here.
2) Behind the Scenes at SeaWorld Orlando
Animal lovers will relish the opportunity to go behind the scenes at SeaWorld (both the Orlando and San Diego parks) and see the magnificent sea life in all its glory. This tour also gives you an amazing insider view on the great conservation work the park is doing to help protect our oceans and all the amazing creatures which live in it. Enjoy a private meet and greet with the dolphins, visit the rescue centre and even feed the sting rays a little fishy snack! This ticket must be purchased on top of your usual SeaWorld admission.
3) LEGOLAND Florida VIP Experience
Go behind the scenes and see where the LEGO magic is created as you meet the model builders in their very own model shop! You’ll find out all about how your favourite attractions were developed, as well as being able to have a play with their serious LEGO collection of course! This VIP ticket also entitles you to skip the line entry to all your favourite LEGOLAND attractions, so you don’t need to wait around.
4) Serengeti Safari Tour at Busch Gardens
Cruise along in an open topped jeep which allows you to enjoy the beautiful African wildlife from all angles. Get up close and personal with the local wildlife and even feed the gorgeous giraffes some delicious iceberg lettuce if they’re feeling hungry. It’s the perfect opportunity to snap a giraffe selfie, just watch out for the long giraffe tongues! Your knowledgeable guide will tell you everything you need to know about these stunning creatures and their adorable antelope playmates. You can find tickets for this incredible experience here.
5) SeaVenture at Discovery Cove
One for the adventurous among you – an underwater behind the scenes tour! Although the Grand Reef is open to everyone, not everyone can submerge themselves into the underwater lives of all the wonderful creatures who live there. With the help of a glass dive helmet, visitors can go underwater and stay there, exploring this new unchartered territory and even getting to hold some of the magical sea creatures.
