From getting up close to real rockets to exploring the Astronaut Hall of Fame and everything in-between, there is so much to do at the Kennedy Space Center. We’ve put together a list of unmissable experiences you should try when you visit…
1. Train like an astronaut
Have you ever wondered what it would feel like to be an astronaut? Well, the amazing ATX Astronaut Training experience puts you through your paces and gives you the chance to see first-hand what it takes to become an experienced astronaut.
The ATX Astronaut Training Program lets you perform not just one but two spacecraft launch mission simulations using a full-scale Orion-style capsule. You’ll then be given Spacewalk Training and will get to see what it actually feels like for the astronauts, as you sit in a microgravity chair. You’ll have to perform some mechanical tasks, while battling against the laws of motion as your chair spins and rolls while you work!
One of the highlights has to be the Walk on Mars experience which lets you feel the incredible sensation of walking on the surface of Mars! You’ll get to explore four different terrains along the way and will have to solve a series of problems as you go.
This one-of-a-kind experience is something you’ll never forget. Check out the video below to see what happened when we tried it out…

The launches take place from the nearby Cape Canaveral Air Force Station which has seen countless launches over the years.
