Ever since it was announced that a brand new exciting hotel would be opening at the LEGOLAND Florida Resort, we've been eager to know when it will open, but now, it’s officially been confirmed that the ‘LEGOLAND Beach Retreat’ will open on 7th April 2017! Construction is already underway, and as you’d expect the hotel is going to be bold, bright and colourful, with plenty to keep both the kids (and big kids!) entertained.
Made up of a total of 83 beach-themed bungalows, the new hotel will more than double the resort’s current accommodation. The bungalows will each sleep up to five guests, providing the perfect place for groups and families to stay together. They will also be grouped into 13 different “coves” that have been named after popular LEGO Minifigures, so you can choose where to stay based on your favourites. The LEGO theming is also reflected both inside and outside. On the inside the walls are painted with iconic LEGO scenes and characters, and there are boxes of LEGO bricks for the kids to play with and get creative. On the outside, there's a shaded patio area for the grownups to relax and unwind.
The LEGOLAND Beach Retreat is expected to have some exciting features, including a swimming pool (with a pool bar!) sandy play area, buffet restaurant and a huge lighthouse. Sandy’s Castle Restaurant will actually be inside the lighthouse! The menu will have dishes that are suitable for all ages and all tastes, and offers a completely one-of-a-kind experience. Who can say they’ve eaten lunch in a lighthouse before?
If you want to cool down from the heat, take a dip in the hotel’s pool while the kids play at the nearby sandy beach area. Choose from a selection of mouth-watering made-to-order food and make sure you sample one of the quirky cocktails too! You can even get your order served by the poolside for the ultimate relaxation experience.
LEGO fans will be in paradise at Palm Tree Traders, the place to go if you want to take home some souvenirs. Pick up exclusive LEGO building sets, Minifigures, toys, swimwear, clothing and even snacks.
Best of all, if you’re staying at the LEGOLAND Beach Retreat, you’ll be able to access the LEGOLAND Florida park before anyone else. Benefit from free parking and early admission with exclusive use of some of the park’s most popular attractions including the new LEGO NINJAGO World when it opens on 12th January. 'LEGO NINJAGO The Ride' will be an attraction for the whole family, and uses state of the art technology to allow riders to shoot shards of ice and scorching fireballs at their LEGO enemies, using just their hands!
