Calling all rollercoaster and thrill junkies; we have gathered the responses of some theme park experts and Orlando-based bloggers to name their favourite rides in the city.

So buckle up and let the fun begin as they reveal some of the best rollercoasters you could go on should you purchase Orlando theme park tickets.

Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man

Orlando Attractions Magazine is a magazine that covers news from theme parks, tourist attractions and restaurants located in Orlando and the surrounding area. Matt Roseboom, Editor of the magazine, says that Soarin' at Epcot was always his favourite, but now it is the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man.

He said, “It's next to impossible to pick a favourite ride in Orlando. There are so many different types and they each are awesome in their own right.

“But since it's [Soarin' at Epcot] being upgraded with a new version soon, I'll go on to my other favourite, The Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at Universal's Islands of Adventure. It's my favourite because I've always been a big Spider-Man fan, but even if you don't know who Spider-Man or the villains in the ride are, you'll love the action-packed movements and special effects. They all combine for an awesome ride.”

Caz and Craig, who are the founders of the Y Travel Blog, also commend the Amazing Adventures of Spider-Man at Universal Studios.

Caz says, “I never expected a 3D ride to be a thrilling adventure. It took me by surprise with its incredible 3D effects and ability to merge virtual and reality. The final move had me screaming it felt so real and was such a buzz! I'm still awe-struck by this ride 10 years later!”

Cheetah Hunt

Busch Gardens is renowned for its rollercoasters and Mr Roseboom is a big fan of the Cheetah Hunt rollercoaster.

He said, “My favourite rollercoaster in Florida has to be Cheetah Hunt at Busch Gardens. It has multiple launches, some great back and forth movements and lots of airtime.”

White Lightning

Paul Ruben, North American Editor of Park World, an amusement industry journal, highly recommends rollercoaster lovers to try White Lightning at Fun Spot in Orlando.

He said, “A little-known treasure among Orlando’s roller coasters is White Lightning, a classic wooden coaster at Fun Spot Orlando. Beautifully paced, it’s like a Goldilocks coaster. Not too big, not too small, just right.”

Matt Roseboom is also a fan, “The layout is great and you have the fun of a wooden coaster without the uncomfortable shaking of one. It's really smooth.”

Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Walt Disney World ticket holders will be delighted to hear that Paul Ruben of Park World believes that the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is one of the best rollercoasters in Orlando.

He added, “For anyone who enjoys not only rollercoasters but dark rides too, the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is both. It's a rocking family-style coaster that will immerse Magic Kingdom guests in the lovable world of Sleepy, Doc, Grumpy, Bashful, Sneezy, Happy and Dopey.

“Inspired by the Disney animated film classic Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the attraction sends riders on a playful musical adventure into the mine ‘where a million diamonds shine.’”

Tower of Terror

Monet Massa-Sena, who runs the Theme Park Princess blog, feels one of the best theme park rides in Orlando is Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

She said, “My favourite ride is Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios. Not only is the ride thrilling and different every time, the theming of the attraction is incredible!

“It stands tall at the end of Sunset Boulevard and lures you in with its spooky demeanour and old classic hotel look. It's on my must-do list every time I go to Disney.”

Expedition Everest

Visitors to Disney's Animal Kingdom, which is just southwest of Orlando, need to go on the Expedition Everest rollercoaster.

The ride takes you through the icy peaks of the Himalayan Mountains on a train through the home of the legendary Yeti, which you come face-to-face with.

As well as the great storyline of the ride, the fact that you are hurled 80 feet down the mountain and go through a double looping turn in the process means that this ride isn’t just for the kids, but is great for the thrill seekers too.

The mighty Kraken rollercoaster at SeaWorld Orlando is ranked amongst the best coasters in the world.

It is a fast, floorless, steel rollercoaster that goes above the horizon and ride enthusiasts will really enjoy all the lifts, drops and spirals along the way.
