Last week, SeaWorld made the HUGE announcement that they would be opening a brand new ride at their Orlando park. Set to open in summer 2018, Infinity Falls will become the tallest river rapid drop ride in the world! If you think you're brave enough to take on the rapids then read on…
Infinity Falls will be the centrepiece of a new, rainforest-themed area of the park. Inspired by the rainforests of South America and the flowing rivers found within, the new ride will send each raft twisting and turning through a lush jungle environment, as guests feel the force of the exhilarating and intense Class IV rapids. The ride’s grand finale sees a unique elevator lift each raft for a dramatic launch into the river, 40-feet below!
The impressive 40-foot drop, will make Infinity Falls the world’s tallest river rapid drop ride, so if you like to think of yourself as a bit of a thrill seeker, this one needs to be added to the top of your ride bucket list!
Jim Dean (the President of SeaWorld Orlando Parks) has promised that Infinity Falls will amaze guests as well as develop new ways to “entertain and inspire our guests with meaningful, fun-filled vacations”. The new attraction will highlight both the beauty and power of water and the amazing wildlife that lives within.
The ride’s surrounding area will be themed to make guests feel as though they are exploring the rainforest. There will be a variety of interactive experiences that combine play with education, to share information that will create a positive impact on freshwater ecosystems. Those wanting to get closer to nature will have the chance to meet some of the amazing animals that are native to South America, with a series of special up-close encounters.
Infinity Falls will join SeaWorld’s already impressive attraction line-up. Last year the park introduced Mako- the tallest, fastest and longest rollercoaster in the whole of Orlando, and this summer they will be giving one of their most popular rides- The Kraken, a virtual reality makeover. So, if you haven’t visited the park in a while (or ever!) now is a great time to make the most of the exciting new attractions.
