You might think of SeaWorld as just one park, but did you know, there are actually 4 amazing SeaWorld Parks you can visit in Florida? Discovery Cove is an idyllic paradise that’s perfect for relaxing and lazing the day away, but for all you thrill seekers out there, there’s plenty of fun to be had. Check out our pick of the top 5 thrill rides at the SeaWorld Parks…
1. Mako
Mako is one of the newest and most popular rides at SeaWorld Orlando. The record-breaking hyper coaster is currently the tallest, fastest and longest ride in the whole of Orlando, so if you fancy yourself as a bit of a thrill seeker, we’re sure you’ll love it. Ascend 200-feet above the park before facing a terrifying drop and exhilarating speeds of up to 73mph! The attraction is inspired by Mako sharks- one of the fastest shark species in the world. Riders only have lap bars (no shoulder restraints) to maximise upper body movement, so that you can experience what it feels like to be a real Mako shark racing through the ocean.

2. Kraken
The Kraken has been a firm favourite with park guests for years, which is why you ned to try it when you visit. Those brave enough to ride this famous floorless coaster will speed along the track with their feet dangling along the way. Prepare to take on seven inversions including two vertical loops, a cobra roll and a corkscrew, as well as heights of 150-feet and speeds of up to 65mph!

3. Falcon’s Fury
Be warned, this ride is definitely not for the faint-hearted! Standing at an impressive 335-feet tall, this thrilling attraction is the tallest freestanding drop tower in North America! As you can probably tell, this isn’t just any drop tower. As if facing a 300-foot drop wasn’t scary enough, your seat will be tilted 90-degrees, so that you literally have to drop face first at 60mph! If you can manage to think of anything else (apart from the terrifying drop that awaits!), the ride offers incredible views of your surroundings, and the brief wait at the top will give you some time to take it all in.

Busch Gardens have given the ride a thrill factor rating of “extreme”, which means its only for the most daring theme park guests. Climb 200-feet to the edge of a 90-degree drop, where you’ll be inched slowly over the edge, before a tense wait that feels like forever. Prepare for a dramatic drop into a 70mph rollercoaster whirlwind with loops, dives and a grand finale splashdown, leaving Sheikra fans watching at the side of the ride soaking wet!

5. Ihu’s Breakaway Falls
SeaWorld’s Aquatica is all about the water rides. Don’t underestimate the thrill factor though! Ihu’s Breakaway Falls is the park’s scariest ride, and the steepest multi-drop tower of its kind in Orlando. The attraction is named after the park’s colourful gecko, with a variety of vibrant flumes to choose from. Guests must choose one of three clear ‘breakaway boxes’ and stand face to face with the other riders, with no idea of who is going to drop first! As you wait in anticipation you’ll feel your adrenaline levels soar. When you least expect it, the floor will suddenly disappear and you’ll plummet 40-feet down into a 360-degree spiral water slide.
