Universal’s third park-Volcano Bay, is set to open on 25th May, and it’s expected to be unlike any other! More than just a water park, Volcano Bay will be a water theme park, combining exciting theme park-worthy thrills with luxurious relaxation experiences. One of the things we’re most excited about though, is that there will be NO QUEUING! That’s right, Volcano Bay plans to banish long lines once and for all with the revolutionary TapuTapu wearable. The colourful wristband (made exclusively for Volcano Bay) is a complimentary device aimed to make each guest’s experience much more convenient and hassle free. That’s not all though, check out the amazing features of the TapuTapu…
Everyone loves visiting theme parks, but nobody likes waiting around in long lines to get on their favourite rides. One of the best things about Volcano Bay, is that you won’t have to worry about queueing at all! Thanks to the TapuTapu wearable, you’ll be able to virtually wait in line with just a simple tap. This gives you the chance to explore the rest of the park, until your wristband alerts you that it’s your turn to ride. Sounds good, right? You won’t have to carry rafts and floats around either-even better!
When visiting a water park, it’s likely that your money is either going to get soggy, or you’ll have to keep going back and forth to lockers to collect your money whenever you want to buy something. Universal know that no one likes doing this, so they’ve solved the problem with the TapuTapu wearable that lets you go cash free. If you download the free Universal Orlando Resort App, you can create an account and link your credit card, so that you can pay for food, drinks and merchandise throughout the entire park, by simply tapping your wristband! The app is also handy if you're visiting Universal’s other amazing parks, as it includes interactive maps, alerts and reminders, and live waiting times for the rides.
Most water parks have lockers available for you to keep your possessions safe (and dry!), but one thing that’s hard to keep safe is the tiny locker key! Well, at Volcano Bay, there’s no need for keys. The lockers are all opened with the TapuTapu wearable. All you have to do is hold your wrist over the sensor and the locker will open, it’s as simple as that. The lockers are spread out around the park too, instead of just one location, so it’s a good idea to choose a central place to store your belongings.
The TapuTapu wristband gives you the power to create amazing special effects around the park! Look out for special symbols that let you know where you can TapTu Play, and then simply tap the band to see what surprises await. We recommend you pay a visit to the Cave of Starlight. You can trigger a series of interactive effects in the darkness to reveal hidden messages. We’re sure the kids (and big kids!) will enjoy shooting water cannons at unsuspecting guests too- just another fun feature of TapuTapu.
Another problem with water parks, is that you can’t take lots of photographs as you wouldn’t want to get your camera or mobile phone wet. Good news, Volcano Bay have managed to solve this problem with the TapuTapu wearable. There will be several interactive photo opportunities and selfie spots set up around the park, and the TapuTapu will automatically link the photos to a free account that you can download on the Universal Orlando Resort App. You can then view, share and purchase your favourite photos. You’ll even get to see a few photos of yourself taking the plunge on the park’s biggest rides!
