Universal’s Halloween Horror Nights spectacular is fast approaching, and preparations are already well underway. There have already been three haunted house announcements so far, including two Universal originals and one fan favourite but now, Universal have added a fourth to the terrifying line-up.
The latest haunted house will be another Universal original, conjured up by their creative team. We think that the Universal original houses can often be the scariest as you never know what (or who!) is lurking in the darkness. This new house will be called ‘Depths of Fear’ and the name gives a hint as to what’s in store. If you’re brave enough to go inside, you’ll find yourself up against underwater elements, monstrous creatures and a frightening countdown to a disastrous fate!
The story follows a group of deep-sea miners who have found themselves in a seriously dire situation. They’ve delved way too deep and encountered a race of creatures that turn out to be deadly. As you venture further into the haunted house, prepare to meet infected miners and acidic creatures along the way. All of a sudden panic rises when the self-destruct sequence starts to count down to the inevitable explosion of the facility.
You can also expect to meet some mysterious creatures known only as “Mouthbrooders”. It will be impossible to escape from these slithering monsters when you’re trapped inside this underwater mining installation! Things only get worse when they start spewing flesh-eating acidic eggs and the miners around you are driven mad by the infection.
Halloween Horror Nights 2019 will begin on 6th September, running on select nights through to the 2nd November. In total, there will be ten haunted houses to explore, as well as 5 scare zones with live actors and lots of entertainment.
