The Most Unusual Snacks at the Universal Orlando Resort
6 unusual snacks you NEED to try!
The Universal Orlando theme parks are home to loads of incredible rides and attractions, but they also have some weird and wonderful snacks that you should try on your visit…

1. Burgushi

Cowfish at Universal CityWalk

Not sure what Burgushi is? The name gives you a big clue. Burgushi is a unique fusion of burgers and sushi, and while your first thought might be that this sounds a bit strange, we’d recommend trying it before giving your verdict. We love this unusual meal and it’s a firm favourite with guests too.

The All-American bacon double ‘Cheeseburgooshi’ consists of seasoned premium black angus beef, cheddar cheese and applewood bacon wrapped in soy paper and potato strings, then flash fried. It’s topped with dill pickle, red onion, tomato and a special Cowfish sauce. If you’re searching for something totally unique, then look no further!

Where to get it- The Cowfish at Universal CityWalk

2. Fishy Green Ale

Fishy Green Ale at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter,

With a name like this, we wouldn’t blame you if you didn’t fancy trying this unusual drink, but it’s actually much nicer than you might think. It’s been described as one of the most “adventurous” drinks at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, so if you want to try something a bit different, make sure you give it a go.

So, what is it? This bright green drink has a refreshing mint taste with a hint of cinnamon. The “fish eggs” at the bottom are in fact blueberry-flavoured Boba balls that burst in the mouth, releasing a deliciously sweet, yet slightly tart taste.

Where to get it- The Fountain of Fair Fortune at Universal Studios Florida

3. Voodoo Doughnut

Voodoo Doughnut at Universal Orlando

Voodoo Doughnut opened at Universal CityWalk in 2018 and has fast become one of the most popular places to grab a sweet treat at the resort. There are so many different options to choose from which means there’s something for everyone, but you can expect to find some pretty unique flavours too.

As well as the more common flavours like raspberry jam, chocolate and caramel, you’ll also find doughnuts with more unique flavours such as hibiscus and cayenne pepper. If you want to try something new but don’t want to try anything too extreme, the Bacon Maple Bar is a great choice. This delicious doughnut is covered with sweet maple frosting and topped with crispy bacon- we love it!

4. Green Eggs and Ham

If you’re a big Dr Seuss fan, you’ll know all about this unusual dish. At Universal’s Islands of Adventure park, you’ll be able to try it out for yourself at the Green Eggs & Ham Café. You might want to stop to take a picture before you go inside as this vibrant green building is shaped like a ham!

Once inside, the dish you have to try is the Green Eggs and Ham Sandwich platter. The name describes the dish perfectly; you’ll get a hearty sandwich filled with bright green eggs and ham! You’ll also get a serving of fries on the side. This is definitely one snack that deserves a place on your Instagram.

5. Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans

Bertie Bott's Every Flavour Beans

You might remember this iconic snack from the Harry Potter movies and books, and if you’ve always wished you could try them for yourself, then now’s your chance.  You’ll find these at both Honeydukes and Sugarplum’s sweet shop.

If you’re not familiar with Bertie Bott’s Every Flavour Beans, we must issue you with a warning. When we say every flavour, we mean every flavour! Each box contains a mixture of different flavours including nice flavours like marshmallow, tutti-frutti and banana, as well as some seriously strange flavours like grass, soap and earwax! You’ll never know what flavour you’re going to get but that’s all part of the fun.

Where to get it- Honeydukes (Universal’s Islands of Adventure) and Sugarplum’s Sweet Shop (Universal Studios Florida)

6. Giant Pretzel

Giant Pretzel at NBC Sports Grill & Brew

This giant pretzel is well known for being one of Universal’s most extreme eats. It’s so big that guests often compare it to a car steering wheel! It’s delivered to your table hanging on a hockey stick stand and is nice and warm. You’ll also get a side of jalapeño queso and Bertman Ball Park mustard for dipping.

You’ll find this huge pretzel at the NBC Sports Grill & Brew, and we think this is the perfect snack to enjoy whilst watching the game. There are more than 100 screens here, so you’ll never miss a second. Make sure you request one of the ‘foosball tables’ too. These have a glass top which means you can actually play the game while you dine.
