New haunted house revealed!
Halloween Horror Nights 2018 is going to be the biggest yet, and this week, Universal have revealed two new haunted houses…

This week, Universal have made not just one, but two thrilling Halloween Horror Nights announcements! Both announcements revealed new haunted houses that would be joining the 2018 Halloween Horror Nights line-up. The first house revealed was Seeds of Extinction- a Universal original, and it’s just been confirmed that there will be another haunted house inspired by the famous horror movie Poltergeist!

The Universal creative team will be bringing the classic tale to life in this horrifying haunted house. If you’re brave enough to step inside, you’ll relive plenty of fan favourite moments from the movie and even though its guaranteed to be absolutely terrifying, we know you’re going to love it! While Universal haven’t confirmed exactly what these moments will be, they’ve given a few clues and we’re guessing you might just find yourself face to face with a creepy clown!

If you haven’t seen this iconic movie before, Poltergeist follows the lives of a family living in the Californian suburbs. Their home is anything but normal and has been invaded by ghosts and evil spirits that have abducted the family’s youngest daughter. They call upon a medium called Tangina in a desperate plea to help save their daughter. After her work is done, she thinks that the house is “clean” but there’s a host of horrifying monsters and menacing poltergeists waiting to be unleashed.

Universal have confirmed that guests will be guided into “the place we always wanted to go…that bright and terrifying light”. We can’t wait to see what it’s going to be like!

Poltergeist isn’t the only horror movie to inspire a haunted house at this year’s event. There will also be a haunted house based on the iconic Trick ‘r Treat movie, as well as a house themed on popular Netflix series Stranger Things. There are plenty of Universal originals too, that are just as scary! Check out our blog to find out more about all of this year’s Halloween Horror Nights announcements.

If you want to be part of the action it’s not too late to get your Halloween Horror Nights tickets. This year’s event starts next month and is running on select nights from 14th September- 3rd November.
