5 Fun Things to do at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Tickets available now!
This year, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will be bigger and better than ever! Here’s 5 things you must do if you’re visiting…

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is undoubtedly one of the most exciting events of the year at Walt Disney World and for the first time ever you can book your tickets with Attraction Tickets Direct! Of course, it wouldn’t be Halloween without a few spooky surprises, but this special Magic Kingdom event is family-friendly, so you don’t have to worry about anything too scary if you’re visiting with little ones. This year’s party will be bigger than ever, running from August 25th-November 1st. If you’re visiting later this year, make sure you book your tickets in advance, as you won’t want to miss out on the fun! Here’s our 5 favourite things to do at the party...

1. Go trick or treating:

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

No Halloween party would be complete without a bit of trick or treating, and Disney’s Magic Kingdom is the perfect place to do it! When you arrive at the party, you’ll be given a treat bag that you can fill with goodies. As you explore each land, you’ll find carts full of candy and sweet treats, and you’ll be able to take as much as you like! This is something we’re sure the kids (and big kids!) will love.

2. Ride your favourite attractions in the dark:

The Magic Kingdom is home to some of the most famous Walt Disney World rides. While they’re fun to ride at any time, we think it’s even more fun to be able to ride your favourite attractions in the dark! With the park open later than usual for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you’ll be able see the attractions in a whole new light. The Magic Carpets of Aladdin, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Space Mountain are just a few of the attractions that will remain open after hours. Imagine how scary riding Pirates of the Caribbean would be in the dark!

3. Watch Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade:

One of the highlights of this annual event is Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade. As soon as you arrive at the park, make sure you check the schedule to find out what time the show will start. This way, you can make your way over to Main Street USA in plenty of time, so you won’t miss out on any of the action. The Headless Horseman leads the way as a procession of frightening floats make their way through the park. You’ll see some of your favourite characters on board, dressed in their finest Halloween attire. Make sure you give them a wave!

4. Meet rare characters:

One of the things we love most about Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is that you get the chance to meet a host of characters that are rarely spotted at the parks. While you can never be certain which characters you’ll be able to meet, Jack Skellington & Sally (from The Nightmare Before Christmas), Cruella De Vil and the Seven Dwarfs have all been known to make an appearance. It’s a great opportunity to get some photos too, as all of the characters will be wearing special Halloween outfits. Be warned though, there are often long queues to meet these characters, so it’s a good idea to go straight to the meeting point, to avoid missing out on the parade.

5. End your night at the Happy HalloWishes show:

The Magic Kingdom is famous for its dazzling night-time shows, and Halloween is no different. HalloWishes is the perfect way to end your night, and even though it features some of Disney’s most notorious bad guys, it will still give you that warm fuzzy feeling you can only get at Walt Disney World! Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, Jafar and Oogie Boogie are out in force for the celebration, causing havoc as usual. Sing along to creepy classics like “Poor Unfortunate Souls” (from The Little Mermaid), “Never Smile at a Crocodile” (from Peter Pan) and “Oogie Boogie’s Song” (from The Nightmare Before Christmas). As the show reaches its grand finale, a stunning firework display illuminates the night sky.
