You’ve booked your Disney tickets, got your hotel sorted, organised your fast passes and now it’s time to get excited for your holiday. One of the things we love to plan most, is where we’re going to eat because let’s face it, that’s important too! There are so many amazing restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort from quick-service to award-winning, fine-dining eateries.
There is so much to see and do at the Disney theme parks, that you won’t want to waste a second of your day. That’s why it’s often much more convenient to grab a quick bite on the go and Disney’s quick-service restaurants are perfect for this. Dining at quick-service locations is also a great way to keep costs down which is certain to come in handy on your holiday!
Walt Disney World has some amazing quick-service restaurants that you really should visit, but with so much choice, it can be hard to know where to start. So, we’ve put together a list of Disney’s best quick-services restaurants to help you out and give you some inspiration for your trip…
Be Our Guest
Be Our Guest is considered one of the best restaurants at Walt Disney World and most people probably think of it as a place to go for a spot of fine dining but, you might be surprised to know that at breakfast and lunch, Be Our Guest actually runs as a quick-service restaurant. So, if you want to experience the incredible food, elaborate décor and fantastic atmosphere for yourself, you can at any time of day.
The breakfast menu includes tasty dishes like Disney’s famous ‘Cronut’ (a doughnut/croissant combination), bacon and egg sandwich and the hearty ‘Feast A La Gaston’ which features scrambled eggs, herb-roasted potatoes, apple smoked bacon and sausages, served with fresh fruit and a selection of pastries on the side.
The lunch menu has some similar dishes to the dinner menu, so if you can’t get an evening reservation, we’d suggest visiting for lunch. You’ll also be able to enjoy the mouth-watering cuisine at a lower price.
Wolfgang Puck Express
If you haven’t already heard the name Wolfgang Puck before, he is a famous celebrity chef who has restaurants all over the world, has earned 4 Michelin stars in total and has been inducted into the Culinary Hall of Fame. Sounds impressive, right?
Well, if you’re visiting Walt Disney World, you’ll be able to enjoy a taste of his famous cuisine at Wolfgang Puck Express at Disney Springs.
This fantastic quick-service restaurant serves up delicious dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner all at a very reasonable price. We love the chicken alfredo, rotisserie turkey club and the mouth-watering pizzas. If you’re dining here for breakfast though, the omelettes are a must try.
The Satu’li Canteen is one of our favourite quick-service restaurants at Walt Disney World. It’s located in Pandora- The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and serves a range of tasty, healthy dishes. This is the perfect place to come if you’ve had one too many sweet treats!
You can create your own meal here with the ‘build-your-own-bowl’ option and we’d definitely recommend doing this. You can choose between slow-roasted grilled beef, wood-grilled chicken, chilli-garlic shrimp or chilli-spiced fried tofu for the main part of your meal. Next, choose a base from red & sweet potato hash, romaine & kale salad, quinoa & vegetable salad or mixed whole grain & rice. Finally, you can choose a sauce to go with your meal, either charred onion chimichurri, black bean vinaigrette or a creamy herb dressing… delicious! We love that you can create your own unique dish to suit your taste and we think you’ll love it too!
Flame Tree Barbeque
Flame Tree Barbeque is a great quick-service restaurant because it offers incredible food that you wouldn’t usually find at a theme park. One of our favourite dishes is the baked macaroni & cheese with pulled pork, and the succulent St Louis ribs are also a firm favourite with guests. If you can’t decide what to have, we’d suggest the sampler dish. This includes smoked ribs, chicken and pulled pork, served with a side of baked beans and coleslaw- it's ideal for sharing.
You’ll find Flame Tree Barbeque in the Discovery Island area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom park but, you’re sure to smell the delicious scent of the food wafting through the air long before you get there. You’ll also get a great view of the Expedition Everest ride from the seating area.
La Cantina de San Angel
There are so many great places to eat at Epcot, with each of the eleven World Showcase countries serving up traditional dishes from around the world. While it would be impossible for us to choose a favourite, we love La Cantina de San Angel for its flavoursome Mexican food.
There are three different types of tacos to choose from including seasoned beef, chicken or fish, but if you can’t decide, why not go for the taco trio which lets you try all three? Trust us when we say that you won’t regret it! The nachos are also well worth a try and are perfect for sharing between two. They’re topped with ground beef, nacho cheese, tomatoes, jalapenos, beans and sour cream.
Make sure you save some room for dessert because you’ll definitely be tempted by the churros. This tasty snack comes with a sweet caramel dipping sauce that will keep you coming back for more.
Get a seat near the water and you can admire views of the World Showcase Lagoon while you enjoy your meal.
Columbia Harbour House
If you love seafood, this is the place for you. Columbia Harbour House is a quick-service restaurant at the Magic Kingdom, which specialises in fresh fish dishes from grilled salmon to lobster roll and everything in between. The Harbour salad with shrimp is a great option if you’re looking for something refreshing, but if you want a hearty meal to give you all the energy you need to explore the park, we’d suggest the trio platter. This filling dish comes with fried shrimp, battered fish, chicken nuggets, green beans, carrots, hushpuppies, French fries and apple slices.
This is another one of our favourite Epcot quick-service restaurants and if you’re visiting with the family, we’d recommend putting this on your list as there’s something for everyone. The Tangierine Café can be found in the Morocco Pavilion and is well known for its delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Grownups can savour the tasty Moroccan platters, while the kids can either try something new or stick to chicken nuggets and hamburgers which are also on the menu.
We love the Shawarma chicken platter, which comes with a side of hummus, tabbouleh and Tangierine couscous salad with fresh Moroccan bread, but you can also try a lamb, Moroccan Kefta or vegetable platter. The portion sizes here are very generous and the quality of the food is fantastic. Once you’ve tried it, you’ll definitely want to come back here.
