Check out the amazing Christmas events you can enjoy at the Disney parks this year…

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is without a doubt the party of the year! This annual event sees the Magic Kingdom come to life after hours for an exclusive Christmas celebration. There is so much fun to be had at this amazing event, that both the young and young at heart will love.

One of the highlights has to be the Once Upon a Christmastime Parade. This fantastic parade sees your favourite characters glide along Main Street USA in a series of dazzling floats. Festive gingerbread men, elves and toy soldiers lead the way as music plays and snow falls from above. Trust us when we say that this is one you won’t want to miss.

You’ll also be able to watch Queen Elsa illuminate the famous Cinderella Castle with 200,000 glittering lights, in the breath-taking A Frozen Holiday Wish show. Catch Buzz Lightyear, Stitch and Mike Wazowski dancing along to classic Christmas hits in Tomorrowland, dance the night away at an epic dance party at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café and end the night at the stunning Holiday Wishes firework spectacular.

The Disney characters will be dressed in their finest Christmas attire, so make sure you get your photo taken with them while you’re there. You’ll also be able to ride your favourite attractions in the dark and try special holiday treats too.

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed after-hours event running on select nights from 7pm until midnight. You’ll be able to access the park before the party starts (from 4pm) giving you plenty of time to explore the Magic Kingdom.

Flurry of Fun

This year at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, there’s going to be a "Flurry of Fun" which means there's more Christmas entertainment than ever before. The Echo Lake area of the park will get a festive makeover with extra-large ornaments, vibrant garlands and a huge Christmas tree.

Christmas at Walt Disney World Jingle Bell Jingle Bam

If you’re visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios over the Christmas season, there are two main events that you have to see. Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! features an epic night-time spectacular where the buildings around you come to life with heart-warming Christmas scenes from classic Disney movies like Mickey’s Christmas Carol. Holiday music will echo across the park as fireworks launch into the sky and snow falls all around you.

But, that’s not all! There’s also a fun show that the whole family can enjoy. In this show, Santa has gone missing just before the big day. Don’t worry though, Wayne and Lanny (from ABC’s Prep & Landing) are ready to track him down and save Christmas- although they might need a bit of help from you. Look out for the exciting showdown in Halloween Town!

Christmas at Walt Disney World

The second big event taking place at the park is Sunset Seasons Greetings which will see the iconic Hollywood Tower Hotel covered in colour this Christmas as a state-of-the-art light projection show plays out on the façade. The projections will bring some of your favourite characters' stories to life. The Tower will be covered in wrapping paper as the Toy Story characters wonder which new toys will be joining them this year before it transforms into a giant gingerbread house featuring the Swedish Chef from the Muppets. You’ll also see stories from Minnie & Mickey Mouse and Olaf who is pining for his Christmas wish.

Make sure you head over to Toy Story Land to check out the festive decorations and meet Woody and the gang, who will all be dressed in their best Christmas costumes.

Epcot International Festival of the Holidays

Epcot’s annual Christmas festival will be returning on 18th November with lots of fantastic food, live entertainment and even a retelling of the classic Christmas story by a host of celebrities!

Guests will be able to experience the unique Christmas traditions of the 11 World Showcase countries, with special entertainment and tasty seasonal food and drink. There will also be a series of Holiday Kitchens set up throughout the park, so you can savour delicious dishes from all around the world. Enjoy mouth-watering Mongolian beef bao buns and fortune cookies at the Shanghai Holiday Kitchen, gooey cheese fondue at the Bavaria Holiday Kitchen and slow-roasted turkey with stuffing and mashed potatoes at the American Holiday Table.

Candlelight Processional at Epcot

Another great experience is the Candlelight Processional which is a fan favourite. This incredible performance features a 50-piece orchestra, talented choir and a celebrity narrator who tells the biblical Christmas story. This year, Whoopi Goldberg, Neil Patrick Harris, Alfonso Ribeiro, John Stamos and Helen Hunt are just a few of the stars on the line-up. Admission is free with your Disney tickets, but it’s important to arrive early if you want to get a good seat, as this is one of the most popular Christmas events at the entire resort!

There’s lots more fun to be had at Epcot this Christmas, with a fun-filled Christmas Tree Spree hosted by the lovable duo Chip & Dale, live Gospel and R&B performances from the ‘Joyful’ vocal group and a special Christmas finale in the IllumiNations fireworks show.
