There’s not long to go until the official opening of Disney’s new 11-acre Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios park. The incredible land will be unveiled on 30th June, offering guests the chance to step into Andy’s backyard and become immersed into the world of Toy Story. There will be a quick-service restaurant called Woody’s Lunch Box, where you’ll be able to enjoy a host of tasty treats. Disney recently revealed a sneak peek at the menu and it looks great! If you’re planning a visit, here’s some of the dishes you really must try…
S’mores French Toast Breakfast Sandwich
This one has to be at the top of our list, because we just can’t wait to try it out! If you haven’t heard of s’mores before, they’re a popular American campfire snack. Disney have taken the famous sweet treat and turned it into an epic sandwich. Enjoy two slices of French toast topped with graham cracker crumbles, stuffed with chocolate ganache and gooey marshmallows. Delicious!
Smoked Turkey Sandwich
Start the day off right, with a hearty breakfast at Woody’s Lunch Box. This breakfast sandwich features slices of smoked turkey, eggs, Swiss cheese, peppers and onions and is served on thick, crusty sourdough bread.
BBQ Brisket Melt
For lunch, we love the look of this BBQ Brisket Melt which is a nod to cowboy Woody. The Texas-style smoked brisket features cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack, pickles and BBQ sauce, sandwiched between garlic butter-grilled sourdough bread.
Monte Cristo with Raspberry Jam
After a morning exploring Toy Story Land, you’re bound to have worked up an appetite. If you’re not sure what to go for, try Woody’s version of this classic sandwich. Filled with layers of ham, turkey, melted Swiss cheese and raspberry jam, and toasted until golden brown, this will definitely satisfy your taste buds.
Forget nachos, it’s all about the Totchos at Woody’s Lunch Box! Fill yourself up with a bowl of potato barrels, corn chips and chilli, topped with melted cheese and sour cream. What’s not to love?
Lunch Box Tart
Make sure you save some room for dessert, as there’s plenty of sweet treats to try too. One of the things we’ve got on our must-try list, is the Lunch Box Tart and there are two different flavours to choose from. Try the raspberry tart topped with sweet icing and dried fruit or go for the chocolate-hazelnut tart which is garnished with icing and caramelised bacon. Or, if you can manage it, why not try both?
Banana Split Yoghurt Parfait
These mini yoghurt pots are a delicious, guilt-free snack. Each pot is filled with layers of banana-vanilla Greek yoghurt with a hint of honey, fresh bananas, strawberries and pineapple and topped with crunchy granola and chocolate chips.
At Woody’s Lunch Box, soda floats are one of the specialties. When you want to cool down from the heat, these refreshing soda floats are the perfect nostalgic beverage. Make sure you give it a try.
