If you didn’t already know (where have you been?) Disney are currently working on their largest ever single-themed expansion- an incredible 14-acre land inspired by Star Wars! In fact, there will be two Star Wars lands, with one at Disneyland California and the other at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will be fully immersive, making guests feel as though they’ve been transported to a galaxy far, far away.
Ever since the original announcement was made, fans have been eagerly waiting to find out when they will be able to visit this incredible new land. The good news is, Disney have finally revealed more details on the opening date. So, when will Star Wars Land open? While there’s still no exact date, Disney have confirmed that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will open in summer 2019 at Disneyland California and autumn 2019 at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

The new land will have two brand new attractions and they both sound amazing! One will let you take control of the iconic Millennium Falcon and the other will put you right in the middle of an action-packed battle between the First Order and the Resistance.
You’ll also be able to get up close to the heroes (and villains!) you’ve seen on screen. Look out for special encounters with the likes of Chewbacca, BB-8, the First Order and many more. Once you’ve worked up an appetite, head to the cantina to sample some truly unique dishes inspired by the Star Wars saga- like the famous blue milk. There’s also a bustling marketplace to explore, where you can pick up some unique merchandise and toys that the kids (and big kids) will love.
