New Details Revealed for Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Transformation
Exciting new transformation!
If you didn’t already know, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is getting an incredible makeover! Here’s the latest pictures…

Renovations began at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort earlier this year, and the huge transformation is now well underway. Disney have just released some exciting details and artist renderings to give us a teaser of what the hotel will look like when it’s finished. You won’t have to wait too long before you can see the makeover for yourself either, as the new enhancements are confirmed to debut summer 2018!

The Old Port Royale area at the hotel will be reimagined as the port of entry, where guests will check in upon arrival. The central location will offer guests much more convenient access to services, amenities and dining. Disney have revealed that there will be several new dining outlets for guests to enjoy. Centertown Market will be the place to go for casual eats and light bites, the all-new Shutters restaurant will offer beautiful waterfront dining and will be adjacent to a new outdoor bar and lounge called Banana Cabana. We can already imagine sitting out in the sunshine with a cocktail in hand!

Here’s what you need to know about each of the new dining outlets…

Centertown Market- this will be an enclosed, quick-service restaurant, with a street market vibe. Guests will enter the restaurant under a large palapa structure, adorned with colourful light pendants made from glass bottles. There will also be wooden shutters, light posts and unique ornaments to admire.

Shutters- This table-service restaurant will be right on the waterfront of Old Port Royale, and will be the perfect place to unwind after a long day. It is designed to look like a beachfront home in the tropical islands, with large open shutters that let the sunlight stream through. There will also be lots of floral designs throughout, to celebrate the natural beauty of the Caribbean.

Banana Cabana- Sit back, relax and enjoy some good food at this fun poolside bar. Cabana-style drapes will hang by the seating areas, creating a cosy, laid-back atmosphere. Disney have said that Banana Cabana will immerse guests into the “fun and relaxation of island life”. Sounds good already, right? The centre point will be a large communal table made from a wooden boat and illuminated by re-purposed steel drums!

Need to pick up some souvenirs to take home, or just fancy a bit of retail therapy? Calypso Trading Post will be the perfect place to fulfil your shopping needs.
