This is one of the BEST views in the city!
On a clear day, you can see for miles from the top of The Wheel, which means you can see some of the top attractions that Florida is famous for.

Even if you’ve visited Orlando multiple times, there are still plenty of ways for you to see the city from a whole new perspective. And one of our favourite ways to do that is from up high! The Wheel at ICON Park reaches up to 400 feet at its highest point, giving unrivalled 360 degree views of Orlando and beyond! Here are just some of the attractions that you can see on a clear day:

Universal Orlando Resort

Universal Orlando Resort is one of the attractions closest to ICON Park, located just a few minutes away up International Drive. That means it’s pretty easy to spot all of your favourite rides at Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay when looking to the north side of your capsule. Particular attractions to look out for include:

  • The Incredible Hulk Coaster at Islands of Adventure
  • Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios
  • Hogwarts Castle at Islands of Adventure
  • The Volcano at Volcano Bay

SeaWorld and Aquatica

On the opposite side of The Wheel to the south of International Drive are SeaWorld and Aquatica. This is another attraction that is pretty close so even on a hazy day you should be able to see some of the larger rides… and SeaWorld has some record breaking ones to look out for:

  • Ice Breaker at SeaWorld
  • Mako at SeaWorld
  • Ihu’s Breakaway Falls at Aquatica
  • Reef Plunge at Aquatica

Walt Disney World Resort

Walt Disney World Resort is slightly further away from The Wheel than Universal and SeaWorld, but on a nice clear day you can get some great views of all four Parks plus Disney Springs! Look to the south-west when you’re in your capsule and you’ll see the resort’s famous landmarks and attractions - plus if you ride in the evening and time it right, you might be able to see all the different fireworks displays throughout the resort at the same time! Rides to look out for include:

  • Spaceship Earth at EPCOT
  • Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT
  • The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
  • Characters in Flight at Disney Springs

Kennedy Space Center

On a particularly good day, you can sometimes see as far as Kennedy Space Center out at Cape Canaveral! Look directly to the east and you just might see the large Vehicle Assembly Building - the largest single storey building in the world at 526 feet tall. Do your research before you visit The Wheel, as you might be in Orlando on a launch day. That means that if you know what time the rocket will be blasting off, you could see it go from up the top of The Wheel!

Our tickets for The Wheel at ICON Park are fully flexible and open dated, so you can use them at any time during your holiday, even if your plans change. Book now or explore our other ICON Park tickets including the ICON Park Play Pass that could save you up to 50% across 7 attractions!
