If you’re a fan of the Hunger Games (who isn’t?), you’re going to LOVE the sound of these incredible new attractions. The MOTIONGATE Dubai theme park has recently unveiled not just one, but two new attractions inspired by the popular Hunger Games saga. The thrilling attractions are part of a new area of the park themed on the series, and are the first Hunger Games attractions in the world!
Panem Aerial Tour is an exhilarating 4D hovercraft motion simulator, that immerses riders into the action-packed world of the Hunger Games. You’ll soar high above some of the iconic landmarks of the post-apocalyptic nation of Panem in an exciting flight like no other. Prepare for an epic battle when your hovercraft is spotted by Panem’s military force!
The area’s other attraction is the Capitol Bullet Train. The white-knuckle coaster will send you racing from District 12 to the Capitol at speeds of up to 50mph. Standing at an impressive 85-feet tall, the triple-launch coaster features a vertical loop, a 110-degree overbanked turn and a 90-degree reverse spike! The attraction will even include a nerve-wracking segment where riders are suspended facing straight down. Super-fans should keep a look out for lots of references to the movies hidden throughout the ride areas.
It’s not just amazing rides though, as the land has lots more to explore. You’ll be able to enjoy character encounters with Effie Trinket and coal miners, so make sure you’ve got your camera handy to snap a few selfies. You’ll also be able to pick up some exclusive merchandise at Panem Supply Co retail store, and when you’re feeling hungry, head to Peeta’s Bakery for delicious baked goods, savoury pies and drinks.
MOTIONGATE Dubai also has attractions inspired by the Smurfs, Shrek, Madagascar, Ghostbusters, Kung Fu Panda and The Green Hornet to name a few. There’s a great mixture of family-friendly attractions and adrenaline-inducing rides for thrill seekers, so there really is something for everyone.
