It might seem a bit early to be thinking about Christmas, but Disney have recently revealed something exciting that’s sure to get everyone feeling festive! Tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are now on sale, meaning you can start planning for the most magical Christmas ever!
If you’ve never heard of Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, then you’ve been missing out! At Walt Disney World, Christmas really is the most wonderful time of the year, as Mickey brings his annual party to the Magic Kingdom. This year, the celebrations will be kicking off from 7th November, giving you plenty of time to savour the Disney magic.
As you enter the park, you’ll be dazzled by the incredible display of glittering lights, elaborate decorations and towering Christmas trees. Wander further down Main Street for a close up view of the real show stopper; Cinderella’s Castle illuminated with 200,000 sparkling lights! Transformed with a little help from Queen Elsa, the mesmerising castle display is like nothing you’ve ever seen before and will make your holiday truly unforgettable.
Take a look at this behind-the-scenes video of how the masterpiece is created:
This separately ticketed event hosts a number of fantastic activities throughout the night, extending the festive fun way after the park closes. You’ll get the chance to meet some of your favourite Disney characters who are dressed to impress in their finest Christmas attire. You can expect to see hosts of the party and Disney royalty Mickey and Minnie Mouse, as well as some special appearances from characters that are rarely seen at the Disney parks, such as the Seven Dwarfs and Jack Skellington! Make sure you have your autograph book and camera with you on the night, to capture the picture perfect moments.
The seasonal theme takes over the park, with lots of festive surprises waiting to be discovered along the way. Look out for free Christmas cookies and hot cocoa being handed out to guests, unexpected flurries of snowflakes and the scent of peppermint candy canes lingering in the air. If that’s not enough to get you into the spirit, the Christmas carols echoing across the park are bound to get you singing along in no time.
The Christmas spectacular officially starts at 7pm and runs until midnight, giving guests the benefit of reduced queue lines, and the chance to spend more time with the characters after hours, when the park is less crowded. Tickets will be valid from 4pm, so make the most of your ticket and experience the rides and their special Christmas makeovers, before the party starts.
With so many amazing things to see, it’s hard to know where to start, but something you really can’t miss is ‘Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration’! The sensational performance takes place with Cinderella’s stunning castle as the backdrop. Watch in awe as Mickey’s friends join him in this extraordinary stage show, as Christmas comes to life before your eyes. Look out for Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Pluto, Peter Pan, Snow White, Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket to name just a few, who have arrived to celebrate with you!
Another ‘must see’ is ‘Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade’. Watch the extravagant floats pass through the park with your favourite characters on-board, as dancing gingerbread men, marching soldiers and reindeer lead the way. The grand finale comes right at the end, when you see Santa appear on his enormous sleigh! End your memorable evening admiring the breath-taking ‘Holiday Wishes’ fireworks display, as the night sky is filled with an explosion of vibrant colour above the enchanting castle.
