Walt Disney World Resort triumphs in annual Orlando Awards
Walt Disney World Resort parks and attractions have come out on top in the annual Orlando Awards; voted on by Attraction Tickets Direct customers.
Disney’s Magic Kingdom has been named the best theme park in Florida, while AVATAR Flight of Passage at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park, was voted the best new attraction AND the best overall attraction in Florida.
Other top spots going to Disney include favourite waterpark for Typhoon Lagoon; best live show for Fantasmic at Disney's Hollywood Studios; favourite animal experience for Kilimanjaro Safari at Disney's Animal Kingdom, best dining experience for Be Our Guest at Magic Kingdom Park and once again – the favourite theme park character is Mickey Mouse.
Elsewhere in Orlando, the ride that ‘gives the best soaking’ is Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges at Universal’s Islands of Adventure and for the fourth year running, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is voted the best non-theme park attraction.
