Amendment and Cancellation Policy for 2020 Departures

As countries respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, including travel and border restrictions, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office advises against all non-essential travel overseas until further notice.

The following revised amendment and cancellation policies apply to all bookings departing up to 31 August 2020. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and will extend the departure period accordingly. For bookings departing 1 September onwards, flights and holidays are currently scheduled to go ahead as normal and our standard booking conditions apply. 

This is an exceptionally busy and difficult time for the travel industry and for you - our customers.  We are endeavouring to do all we can to assist you and be as flexible as possible with our terms and conditions. However, due to the volume of calls and emails we are receiving our response time may be slower than usual. We ask you to a) read our policy below for guidance and b) be patient.  We will help and we will get to your call, emails and questions. Our customer service team are all working hard to help all customers, particularly those due to travel in the coming days.

USA

The USA has announced a series of travel restrictions to combat the spread of Covid-19 and a mandatory Coronavirus Travel Ban is currently active. Whilst the ban remains, it will not be possible for British or Irish nationals to enter the USA. In addition, most attractions have announced temporary closures.

We are waiving all amendment fees:  

Amending to another date in 2020

You may wish to try and re-book your holiday for another departure date in 2020. If this is the case, you can keep your tickets/booking live until you know whether you will be going or not as most tickets will be valid to use later in 2020:

  • Disney Ultimate Tickets - tickets are open dated and valid to use until 30 September 2021 (tickets must be activated on or before 16 September 2021 to get the full 14 days usage).
  • Dated Disney After Hours Tickets - these can be amended to any date in 2020 or 2021 (as and when these dates are released), but any difference in ticket price will still be payable. The amendment process will be the same as 'the process for changing the year of travel' detailed below.
  • Universal Explorer Tickets - tickets are open-dated and can be activated at any time up to and including 4 December 2021.
  • SeaWorld Parks 3 for 2 Ticket/2-Park SeaWorld and Aquatica Ticket/2-Park SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Tickets - tickets are open dated and can be activated at any time up to 31 December 2021.
  • Orlando Combo Tickets - Our combos are made up of the Disney, Universal and SeaWorld tickets listed above and you have been sent separate park tickets for each element. Please refer to the instructions for each ticket type above.  
  • Kennedy Space Center Tickets - Admission Tickets are valid through to 31 December 2020. Space Passes must be re-booked for a new date. If you need to re-book your Space Passes, please email customerservices@attractiontickets.com. Space Passes can only be amended if the request to change is made at least 24 hours in advance of the original visit date. 
  • LEGOLAND Florida Tickets - check the printed expiry date on your ticket. If your ticket is not valid for your revised holiday dates, please return the ticket as per the process for changing the year of travel below and we will send new tickets that are valid until the end of 2020. 
  • Discovery Cove Packages - tickets can be amended to any date in 2020 or 2021. Discovery Cove prices vary by season. Any difference in ticket price will still be payable. The amendment process will be the same as 'the process for changing the year of travel' detailed below.

Amending to a date in 2021

If you wish to change the dates of your tickets to 2021, we will waive all admin fees, so only the difference in the ticket price will be payable (if applicable). 

  • Disney Ultimate Tickets - The expiry of 2020 Disney Ultimate Tickets will now be extended until 30 September 2021 (tickets must be activated on or before 16 September 2021 to get the full 14 days usage). If you are planning to change your holiday to any time 1 January to 16 September 2021, you can keep your tickets as these can be activated at any time between these dates. If you are changing your holiday to a date between 17 September to 31 December 2021, tickets will need to be returned to us as per the process for changing the year of travel below. The difference in the ticket price will be payable.
  • Universal Explorer Tickets - The expiry of 2020 Universal Orlando Explorer Tickets will now be extended until 17 December 2021 (tickets must be activated on or before 4 December 2021). If you are planning to change your holiday to any time 1 January to 4 December 2021, you can keep your tickets as these can be activated at any time on or before 4 December 2021. If you are changing your holiday to a date between 5 to 31 December 2021, tickets will need to be returned to us as per the process for changing the year of travel. The difference in the ticket price will be payable.
  • SeaWorld Parks 3 for 2 Ticket/2-Park SeaWorld and Aquatica Ticket/2-Park SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Tickets - SeaWorld have extended the validity of their 2020 tickets until 31 December 2021. If you are planning to change your holiday to any time in 2021, you can use your current tickets.
  • Discovery Cove Packages - tickets can be amended to any date in 2021. Discovery Cove prices vary by season. Any difference in ticket price will still be payable.
  • Orlando Combo Tickets
    - All Disney Combos including the Orlando Freedom Ticket - if you are planning to change your holiday to any time 1 January to 16 September 2021, you can keep your tickets as these can be activated at any time on or before 16 September 2021. If you are changing your holiday to a date between 17 September to 31 December 2021, tickets will need to be returned to us as per the process for changing the year of travel. The difference in the ticket price will be payable.
    Orlando 6 Park FlexiTicket - if you are planning to change your holiday to any time 1 January to 4 December 2021, you can keep your tickets as these can be activated at any time on or before 4 December 2021. If you are changing your holiday to a date between 5 to 31 December 2021, tickets will need to be returned to us as per the process for changing the year of travel. The difference in the ticket price will be payable.
    Orlando Freedom Ticket Ultimate and the LEGOLAND Florida and SeaWorld Parks Combo Ticket  - Tickets will need to be returned to us as per the process for changing the year of travel. The difference in the ticket price will be payable.

Process for changing the year of travel

Return the tickets to us by Royal Mail Special Delivery (if applicable). Please include the original packing slip, or a covering note with your name and booking reference:

If you have received your 2020 tickets and want to cancel your booking

We are reducing cancellation fees to 20% if you wish to cancel your booking. Customers with Flex-Plus will receive a full refund, minus the cost of the policy.

- Special Note on Dated Disney Event Tickets: Cancelled Disney Event Tickets including Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Disney H2O Glow Nights will be refunded in full.

- Special Note on LEGOLAND Florida Tickets: If you have not downloaded your LEGOLAND Tickets from your customer account, these can be redunded in full. 

Process for cancelling your tickets

BOOKINGS ON DEPOSIT

There will be a loss of deposit if you cancel your booking, so you may wish to keep your 2020 booking live until you know whether you can re-book your holiday for a later date.
 
Alternatively, we’ve updated our Amendment Policy to give you the flexibility you need to change your ticket arrangements if needed. You can choose to keep your booking deposit open as a credit to use at a later date. You may wish to change the dates of your Orlando tickets to 2021 or 2022 or maybe purchase a UK or European attraction ticket instead. Your deposit credit can be used towards the purchase of ANY ticket for any destination sold on AttractionTickets.com.  We will also waive all amendment fees.  
 
There’s absolutely no rush to make a decision right now. Once you are certain that your current 2020 holiday arrangements cannot go ahead as planned, please call our customer service team on 0203 904 4988 and advise us that you would like to keep your booking deposit open as a credit. Our customer service team will update your booking accordingly and send you a revised confirmation. To offer even more flexibility, the deposit credit will be valid to use on new bookings made until 31 October 2021.

Orlando Hotel Bookings

Customers yet to travel and wish to amend their booking

We're flexible with your holiday arrangements. Should you wish to change the dates of your hotel booking to 2021, we will waive all admin fees, so only the difference in the package price will be payable.

It is no longer possible to amend Disney Florida Hotel bookings to another date in 2020. At this time, new 2020 reservations at Disney Resort Hotels are on pause to allow Disney to focus on existing reservations as they launch the phased re-opening on Walt Disney World. 

Process to amend your Hotel booking

1) Email hoteladmin@attractiontickets.com to notify us of your intention to defer travel. Please quote your booking reference in the subject line.

2) We will contact you with re-booking options.

3) We will update your booking and you should receive an updated invoice in 3-5 days.

4) We will waive all admin fees. New prices may apply. 

Customers yet to travel and wishing  to cancel

Updated 26 June 2020

We will waive all cancellation fees for all customers due to check-in at their hotel on or before 3 October 2020. In line with the Package Travel Regulations of 2018 you will receive a full refund within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notification. If you have received a Disney Gift Card as part of your hotel package, refunds cannot be processed until you have returned the Disney Gift Card. If you are arriving after 3 October 2020, standard booking terms and conditions apply.

Universal Studios Hollywood & Disneyland Resort in California Tickets

Amending your booking

Travelling later in 2020 - keep hold of your tickets as they will be valid for use up to 31 December 2020 for Disneyland Resort California Tickets and 18 December 2020 for Universal Studios Hollywood Tickets. Universal Studios Hollywood VIP Experiences must be re-booked to a new date. If you need to rebook your Universal Studios Hollywood VIP Experience, please email customerservices@attractiontickets.com. We will waive all admin fees, but new ticket prices may apply.

If you wish to amend your holiday plans to 2021 - notify us of your intention to defer travel. We will update you when 2021 tickets become available. New ticket costs may apply.

Disneyland Paris

Disneyland Paris theme parks are temporarily closed until futher notice. 

We act as an agent of Disneyland Paris and as such we must strictly adhere to their amendment and cancellation terms.

If you are already in Paris

If you have used any days on your tickets – tickets are non-refundable. However, we will liaise with Disneyland Paris to try and obtain refunds for unused days. This is not guaranteed and could take some time. It is at the discretion of Disneyland Paris. 

If you have received your tickets and want to amend 

  • If you have purchased a one day ticket including Mini and Magic Park Tickets and tickets purchased as part of the Adults at Kids' Prices promotion - ticket validity will be extended until 31 March 2021. However, 'Mini' tickets can only be used on applicable 'Mini' dates and Magic Tickets can only be used on applicable 'Mini' and 'Magic' Dates. Please refer to your e-ticket for ticket type and validity date. Disneyland Paris Season Dates
  • If you have purchased a one day Super Magic Ticket or a 2, 3 or 4 day multi-day ticket - tickets are valid for a year from when they were booked, please check the expiry date on your ticket. Tickets are open-dated and can be used at any time within the ticket validity. If you have a ticket that expires whilst Disneyland Paris is closed or within 3 months of the parks re-opening, tickets can be replaced with new tickets that are valid for 12 months from the date of re-issuance - please contact customerservices@attractiontickets.com and we will guide you through the process.

If you have received your tickets and want to cancel your booking

Disneyland Paris Tickets are non-changeable and non-refundable and 100% cancellation fees apply should you wish to cancel with the exception of the following tickets:

1-Day Disneyland® Paris Ticket with Transport - tickets booked for any date whilst Disneyland Paris remains closed will be cancelled and refunded in full. Refunds will be processed within 4 weeks. 

Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show at Disneyland® Paris - tickets booked for any date whilst Disneyland Paris remains closed will be cancelled and refunded in full. Refunds will be processed within 4 weeks.

  • Siam Park, Loro Parque and Poema del Mar will be temporarily closed from 15 March until further notice. 
  • PortaVentura World will delay its 2020 season opening date until further notice.

We will waive all amendment fees if you wish to re-book to another date in 2021. The difference in the ticket price will be payable (if applicable).

IMG Worlds of Adventure - You may wish to try and re-book your holiday for another departure date in 2020. If this is the case, you can keep your tickets/booking live until you know whether you will be going or not as tickets will be valid to use at any time in 2020. If you wish to amend your holiday plans to 2021, notify us of your intention to defer travel. We will update you when 2021 tickets become available.We will waive all amendment fees if you wish to re-book to another date in 2021. The difference in the ticket price will be payable (if applicable).

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi/Warner Bros. World™ Abu Dhabi/Yas Waterworld - if you are planning to amend your holiday to another date in 2020, please amend your booking as per the process below. If you wish to amend your holiday plans to 2021, notify us of your intention to defer travel. We will update you when 2021 tickets become available. We will waive all amendment fees if you wish to re-book to another date in 2021. The difference in the ticket price will be payable (if applicable).

Burj Khalifa Observation Decks - if you are planning to amend your holiday to another date in 2020, please amend your booking as per the process below. If you wish to amend your holiday plans to 2021, notify us of your intention to defer travel. We will update you when 2021 tickets become available. We will waive all amendment fees if you wish to re-book to another date in 2021. The difference in the ticket price will be payable (if applicable).

Aquaventure & Dolphin Bay - if you are planning to amend your holiday to another date in 2020, please amend your booking as per the process below. If you wish to amend your holiday plans to 2021, notify us of your intention to defer travel. United Kingdom

Important Note: Please refrain from downloading your tickets from your customer account (if you have not already done so). This makes it easier for us to apply the amendment and cancellation policies below as many tickets become non-refundable/non-changeable once downloaded.

Most UK attractions are now temporarily closed as a precautionary measure in line with the Government’s guidance advice for citizens to socially distance/stay at home where possible, avoid unnecessary travel and not go to pubs, clubs and restaurants or crowded places. The following revised amendment and cancellation policies ONLY apply to bookings affected by attraction/activity/excursion closures. Outside these dates, our standard terms and conditions apply.

Amending your booking

We will waive all amendment fees if you wish to re-book to another date in 2020 or 2021. New dates may be subject to availability, please check availability on our website before choosing a new date. The difference in the ticket price will be payable (if applicable).

  • Merlin More For Less Passes (formerly Merlin's Magical London Pass) – If your tickets have an expiry of 31 March 2020, you will need to amend your ticket as per the process outlined below. If your ticket does not have an expiry date listed, you can keep hold of your tickets as these can be activated at anytime before 31 March 2021.
    -If you have already activated your tickets, the ticket expiry will be automatically extended by 90 days from the date the attractions re-open, giving more flexibility to visit all included attractions.
     
  • All UK Theme Parks* - Tickets are open-dated and can be used at any time during the 2020 season.
  • The View from the Shard – you will need to amend your ticket(s) as per the process outlined below.
  • UK Experience & Gift Vouchers - Virgin Experience Days Experiences are non-refundable. All customers with experience vouchers that they cannot used at the moment or due to expire in the coming months, can receive a free of charge extension / exchange by visiting My Voucher on the Virgin Experience Days website. We are hoping that all our customers that have our experiences and vouchers can then book something to look forward to later in the year. 
  • West End Theatre Tickets - the majority of performances have been suspended. Check if the performance your booked has been cancelled. Tickets can be amended free of charge for another date but new ticket prices may apply.
  • All other UK attractions, excursions and activities – you will need to amend your ticket(s) as per the process outlined below.

*UK Theme Park Tickets received as part of our ‘Free UK Theme Park’ promotion must be used on or before 30 June 2020. These tickets are not valid for use after this time. Tickets are non-refundable and have no cash value.

Process for amending your tickets

1) Email customerservices@attractiontickets.com to notify us of your intention to defer travel to another date. Please include your booking reference in the subject line.

2) We will update your booking and you will receive a revised confirmation.

3) We will waive all admin fees. New ticket prices may apply.

Cancelling your booking

Many tickets can be cancelled for free up to the point of travel or if digital tickets have NOT been downloaded from your customer account - Please see individual ticket description pages for product specific cancellation terms. If you have already downloaded your digital tickets or tickets that fall outside the free cancellation terms above, we are reducing cancellation fees to 20% if you wish to cancel your booking with the exception of UK Experience & Gift Vouchers.

UK Experience & Gift Vouchers are non-refundable and 100% cancellation fees apply. Customers can recieve a free of charge voucher extension/exchange by visiting My Voucher on the Virgin Experience Days website.

Process for cancelling your tickets

1) Confirm your intention to cancel by emailing customerservices@attractiontickets.com. Please quote your booking reference in the subject line.

2) We will confirm receipt of this request by email.

3) We will refund once refunds are received from our suppliers. This could take longer than usual as attractions are currently closed due to the ongoing Coronavirus situation, but we will do our best to expedite the process.

4) We will confirm the refund payment and send a cancellation invoice by email which you can use for any insurance claim.

Paris and Rome

We will waive all amendment fees if you wish to re-book to another date in 2020 or 2021. New dates are subject to availability, please check availability on our website before choosing a new date. The difference in the ticket price will be payable (if applicable).
