Restaurants

Hello everyone!

Wow it has been so long since i have been on here and I feel like I am completely out of the Disney loop! I think I have a lot to catch up on! Hope everyone is well.

I'm sorry i have been so absent but there is good reason as we now have 2 little additions - 6 month old twin girls :) Since early last year, when we found out i was pregnant, it has been a bit of a whirlwind to say the least! Although a very good one :)

We were due to go to DisneyLand Paris last August but postponed it due to my pregnancy until May half term this year :) I am therefore starting to think about the planning as it isn't far away!

As we are staying on site at the Cheyenne Hotel, I am going to be able to book restaurants soon and I wondered if anyone had any recommendations? We are going full board for 4 nights/5 days so have to think of lunches and dinner.

It's been a while since I've been to DLP, but I quite liked Walt's for something a bit special. Agrabah Cafe had a very nice buffet last time we were there. I'd choose that again. I also remember Cafe Hyperion, but I recall thinking I wouldn't be in a rush to go back to that one.

We've only ever eaten quick service in Paris and I've no idea how their meal plans work, so not sure if this will help at all. That said what we have eaten was in the main very good, so if you are looking at quick service I can recommend, Annette's and Vapiano in the village, Restaurant Hakuna Matata in Adventureland and Au Chalet de la Marionnette in Fantasyland. There used to be a good option in the Studios park in Blockbuster Cafe, but I think it has closed to be turned into something Marvel related.

One thing we found is that restaurants close long before the parks, especially when the parks are open late so be careful not to be left hungry.

Oh wow, twins girls congratulations....no wonder you have your hands full.
Can't help you with DLP though as we have never been although our son and his partner are going this Sunday for 4 days so can pick his brains when they get back. Mind you they aren't actually staying on Disney property so not sure how much they will be eating at restaurants in the parks.

I haven’t been to DLp for 4 years (going in September though :D) but last time we went our favourite meals were at Blue Lagoon ... now called Captain Jacks and at the Silver Spur steak house.

A tip (if you don’t already know) is that when you book half or full board you are given vouchers with each plan having a list of restaurants that you can use them in. However if you want to eat at a restaurant not included on your plan the vouchers have a “face value” (currently €36 for a dinner one I believe) that you can use towards the cost of a meal in almost all of the restaurants, and using them as face value you can use a dinner voucher at lunchtime :) .... we always go to Blue Lagoon for lunch but use a dinner voucher to offset the (definitely not cheap) cost :)

thank you for that I didn't know you could do that so that is definitely something to think about! I will let you know how we get on and if we have any recommendations for you in September :)
