    Exclamation Water temps

The water temps has to be 55 degrees at all times in the dolphin pool. This the optimum for the mammals welfare. That is why you are issued with a wetsuit !!! So if u go in July or January the water temps will always be the same in the dolphin area . The wetsuit will keep you warm .

We went to DC in early January this year and we certainly needed the option of full wetsuits in the dolphin encounter pool and the Coral Reef. It was around 72F that day and very pleasant (when dry!) out of the water, and still blissfully warm in the Tropical River, but it certainly does feel chilly in the (unheated) water. However, we still got full value out of it, I feel, and wouldn't hesitate to go in November (when it usually a bit warmer than January).
