Default Magical Dining Month Is Back!

Stop Press! A record 120-plus restaurants are lined up for Orlando's #MagicalDiningMonth this September!

ORLANDO, Fla. – Visit Orlando's Magical Dining returns Aug. 23-Sept. 30, where foodies can dine on haute cuisine from more than 120 fine dining restaurants offering a $35 three-course, prix fixe dinner menu. A full list of participating restaurant partners launched today at OrlandoMagicalDining.com and features menus, including special options for vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free diets, and the ability to make dining reservations directly though OpenTable.

“Now in its 14th year, Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining has reached an unprecedented number of restaurants with more than 120 and 11 new to the program,” said Visit Orlando President and CEO George Aguel. “The expanding depth of options for diners this fall reflects Orlando’s thriving culinary scene found in all areas of our destination, from the tourism corridor and Restaurant Row to downtown Orlando, Winter Park and beyond.”

New to Magical Dining for 2019

Eleven new restaurants – including two celebrity chef restaurants – have joined the program for the first time:

    • Bella Tuscany Italian Restaurant
    • Bites & Bubbles
    • Enzo's Hideaway

    • JALEO
    • Menagerie Eatery & Bar
    • Mia's Italian Kitchen
    • The Backroom Steakhouse
    • The Edison at Disney Springs
    • The H Cuisine
    • Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill

    Special Diet Options

Orlando’s dining scene has made increasing strides toward catering to all foodies. These special menus are available across the destination, from downtown Orlando venues like Artisan's Table to Paddlefish in Disney Springs, Hamilton's Kitchen in Winter Park, Winter Garden’s Market to Table and even in the theme parks, at Sharks Underwater Grill at SeaWorld Orlando.

    Dining with a Purpose

Every year, Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining contributes one dollar from each meal served through the program to local charities.

Only it is no longer called Magic Dining 'Month.' Due to the fact it now stretches for almost 6 weeks (starting today!), Visit Orlando now just call it Magical Dining. We will have a full ATD blog about it in due course after a special preview last week (at the fab new The H Cuisine in Dr Phillips - highly recommended), but in the meantime, Visit Orlando has just announced the two charities to benefit from this year's event (each Magic Dining meal contributes $1 to a nominated local charity or charities, which is a great way of involving the community and rewarding some admirable non-profit work in this area), and they are as follows:

ORLANDO, Fla. — Starting today, foodies can dine with purpose as one dollar from every meal served during Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining will benefit two nonprofits that help local children and families: the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Greater Orlando and Lighthouse Central Florida.

“Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining is one of the most powerful ways our industry makes a difference in the community. Last year’s donation topped $250,000, so you can imagine the significant impact these funds can make,” said George Aguel, president and CEO of Visit Orlando. “Along with our valuable restaurant members, we are excited to raise awareness and support for these two meaningful causes.”

National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Greater Orlando

NAMI Greater Orlando is a grassroots support network for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions. Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining will benefit the organization’s “Ending the Silence” program, which helps raise awareness and change perceptions among teenagers about mental health and suicide prevention.

    Lighthouse Central Florida

Lighthouse Central Florida helps individuals with vision loss adjust to their reality with confidence. Proceeds from Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining will enable Lighthouse to expand its early intervention programs for children so they can adapt, integrate and enjoy active, productive lives.

Hot off the press news - Magic Dining has been extended this year!

ORLANDO, Fla. – To support local businesses and ensure two deserving charities receive maximum benefit despite Hurricane Dorian, Visit Orlando – the area’s official tourism association – is extending Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining. The program will run an extra seven days – through October 7.

One dollar from every meal served during Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining will benefit two nonprofits that help local children and families: the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Greater Orlando, a grassroots support network for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions, and Lighthouse Central Florida, which helps individuals with vision loss adjust to their reality with confidence.

The program was originally scheduled to end Sept. 30. A majority of restaurants currently participating in Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining will extend their menu offerings through October 7. OrlandoMagicalDining.com will soon be updated with a complete list of participating restaurants and information on extensions. The program and price points — $35 for a prix fixe, three-course meal, with $1 per meal benefiting two local charities — will not change.
