TBH most/many people in the UK have an annual flu jab and don't think twice about it. Before I reached a certain age I paid for the jab having suffered a bad dose of the flu some years ago (and when I did have it I was very fit and it absolutely pole axed me from which I took weeks to recover). So I can see an annual covid boost as becoming the norm. Get behind me in the queue .

Covid Travel Pass 'ready within weeks'


A digital global Covid Travel Pass will be ready to roll out within weeks, says the international airline body IATA.

The pass, which will be tested first by Qatar Airways, will store passengers' test and vaccination records.

While the idea of a 'vaccination passport' is being resisted by some, others welcome the move as a way of reopening international travel.

Travel insurance broker AllClear says a recent poll of 3,000 of its customers found 88% believed they should be mandatory.

The evidence suggests this will need to become reality for international travel to get moving again. It's going to be tough in areas where it's hard to get a vaccination (we still have absolutely NO idea in Florida when that might be; at the current rate it will be July, if we're lucky), so it's probably going to be a real crapshoot, even if they can set up something as complex as this in a couple of months. The will is definitely there, I think, but actually getting it going? Not so easy.

Also there is a fair amount of resistance to the idea, mainly from democracy supporters (implying the rest of us aren't), vax deniers, and anti-Govt. players, especially if some of the comments on the BBC News items are to be taken into account.
