desert island buddies

So imagine you are stranded on a desert island can you think of anyone dead or alive you would want on the island with you ? you can give a reason if you choose I have not included family or friends on my list

1. Michael Palin , just because of his knowledge of travel his comedy genius and he must have so many stories he could tell

2. Jimmy Buffett , he is a real island life guy and just love his music

3. Joanna Lumley , again well travelled great actress and has a calming voice

As long as Simon and the rest of our immediate family are there, I'd choose Joe Rohde, because I think he's creative enough to figure out how to build a boat to get us off the island, and it would look super cool when he was done.

2. Bear Grylls, for obvious reasons....
3. Monty Don, would be good for the food growing part..

This is a good brain exercise. Do you pick people for what they can contribute to the island (like food and shelter!), or just for being fun/good company?

Working on the latter:

Spike Milligan, purely for madcap fun
Geddy Lee, for music and Sci-Fi convos
Jon Stewart, for politics, social issues and humour

And, if I can have 4, Neil deGrasse Tyson, to explain the universe!
