It's easy!![]()
First, you can resize your pictures using your computer's photo program (you don't have to do this step though. See NOTE below). I use Jasc Paint Shop, so I'll walk you through on that one. If you use something else and get stuck, just post and we'll see if we can sort it out (hopefully someone here might use the same program you use).
First, open the picture you want to resize. Click on Image in the upper toolbar, then click on Resize. When the box pops up asking what size you want it to be, you may have to play around with it a few times to get the right size (it may look different on your computer than it will when you post it on the forum). I use 35% as a general rule.
Next, rename your resized photo so that you have the original in case you need to play around with it a bit. Always keep that original! (NOTE: ATD's internal formatting will now resize the picture for you, so you can skip that step if you prefer).
Next, go to Photobucket.com and create a free account. Then, just click on Browse and upload the pictures you want to post. Open a second browser window (so you have ATD and Photobucket available at the same time) and create a new thread on ATD. When you're ready to enter a picture, go to Photobucket, click on the box that says Direct Link, which will copy the URL. Come back to ATD and click on the yellow box with the picture of a mountain and the sun (the IMAGE box that looks like this:). Paste your URL into the section that pops up (remembering to remove the http:// that's already in there so it's not listed twice). Repeat until all photos are entered into your thread.
Click on Preview Post to be sure it all worked.
And it's just that easy! If you get stuck, just ask and we'll all be happy to help!![]()
