    Default How to add a Trip Ticker to your posts

    Are you counting down to something? Want one of those fun banners at the bottom of your posts? Here's how to do it:

    Go to http://tickerfactory.com or another ticker website of your choice. Mickeypath.com has Disney-specific banners.

    -Make your ticker/banner selection, following the website's direction.

    -If you use Tickerfactory, copy the bbCode resulting from your selection.

    If you use MickeyPath, copy the FIRST set of code (it will say PseudoHTML, UBBCode or BBCode above the code) after you create your banner. The text should look something like this (I had to remove the first bracket, but there should be a [ before the url= ):

    url= 'http://www.mickeypath.com/']img http://www.mickeypath.com/id/1293260442.jpg[/img][/url]

    Then...

    -Return to ATD Forums, then click on User CP on the left-hand side of the header.

    -Click on Edit Signature

    -Paste the URL you copied from the ticker site into the big Your Signature box.

    -Click on Preview Signature to be sure it worked!

    -If it did, click on Save Signature.

    Easy! You can do it! If you have trouble, post here and we'll help you out.

    It's easy-peasy, Simon!

    Just remember, your ticker won't show up in older posts. You have to post again to 'activate' it.

    I had to post again once the ticker was entered before mine showed up. It didn't automatically show up in older posts. Sorry that wasn't clear.

    How about this:

    IF your experience is as mine was, you MAY need to post again before your ticker shows up. If not, you're all set!
