Firstly welcome to the forum jenmon.

I personally have not stayed at Regal Palms, but it is a fairly new development - I'm sure that someone will be along shortly who can advise.

catlady has stayed in the area and will be able to give info on the shops and restaurants.

Old Town is about 14 miles (about 25 minutes) from Regal Palms.

    Hi jenmon and welcome,
We have stayed at Highlands Reserve on the 27 (twice) but not sure of Regal Palms is it an estate nearby?
There are plenty of places to eat (Applebees, Cracker Barrel, Burger King, Bob Evans, and even a MacDonalds) There is a Publix next to Highlands Reserve which is a good supermarket and a Walmart just past the turning to the 192. It is a nice area not too far from the attractions but far enough out to feel peaceful.

thanks for the info, regal palms is just the name for the homes round the clubhouse that dont have private pools, feel more confident now I know its not in the middle of nowhere, wasnt sure what to expect from a villa as we have only been once before and stayed at the quality inn on international drive as it was just me and hubby. thanks again for the info and welcome.

    I think it's next door.

The first house we rented was at Windsor Palms, in fact we liked it so much we bought it!. Sold it a couple of years ago But are now looking to buy about 40 miles north of Orlando.
We liked Windsor Palms because it was a gated community, has a large communal pool, (but all villas have private pools as well) a cinema. games room and gymn, lots of things to do, if we were having a 'day off' from the parks.
I'm a permanent reminder of a temporary feeling!

Sounds like you bought and sold at just the right time, Parrothead It is CERTAINLY a huge buyer's market right now so, if you have the money, it's a great time to re-invest. Have you also looked at properties with British Homes Group? They are a company we know very well (and trust), and they are always keen to get referrals from us as we know they take good care of 'our' people, so to speak. You can look them up at http://www.britishhomesgroup.com/ and, if you say Simon and Susan sent you, they should be especially helpful

We have twice stayed in a villa on Spring Lakes which is off Landstar Boulvard not far from the airport so we saw all the planes landing and taking off but very easy to get to all the parks about 5 mins from gatorland.

Next year when we go we are at Sunridge Woods.
