1. Do your research
Before making any travel plans, make sure you thoroughly research your destination and the restrictions in place. Some countries are simply asking visitors to provide details of where they are staying, others are requiring you to have a negative test before arrival, while in other parts of the world borders are closed to UK travellers. Make sure you know exactly what you need to do ahead of arrival, to make your journey as smooth as possible.
2. Book with our Free Covid Cover or upgrade to FlexPlus
We are currently offering FREE Covid Cover on the majority of our tours and attractions* booked after 11 September 2020, which means you can book with full peace of mind that if your plans are disrupted due to border closure, attraction closure, or changes to the FCO advice you will be entitled to a full refund within 14 days. This means you can lock in any offers or prices that you don’t want to miss with a deposit of just £25pp for tickets or £200 for a hotel booking at absolutely no risk – everything, including your deposit, will be refunded in the event you need to cancel for one of the above reasons.
You can find out more about this policy on new bookings here:
If you are booking a Florida theme park holiday, you can go even further and upgrade to our FlexPlus cover from just £10pp. This entitles you to a full refund, minus the cost of the protection, if you need to cancel for any reason at all.
3. Book a package with an ABTA bonded company
If you book 2 or more elements of your holiday with the same company, this constitutes a package and means you will be covered by ABTA’s package travel regulations when you book with an ABTA bonded business like AttractionTickets.com. By booking a Florida hotel and ticket package with us at the same time, you will benefit from this extra legal protection, should something happen.
Always look out for the ABTA logo when making your booking for the extra peace of mind and protection it brings.
4. Make flexible hotel and travel arrangements
If you are booking a DIY holiday, as opposed to a package, make sure your travel and accommodation bookings offer the flexibility to amend or cancel as close to your holiday as possible. Lots of flight and accommodation sites are offering excellent cancellation terms on their properties and flights, allowing you to cancel and amend easily in the event your plan changes. And remember, with our Free Covid Cover, you don't need to worry about your booking with us as the majority of tours and attractions are covered*.
5. Book insurance which covers Covid-19 disruption
It is important now, more than ever, to make sure your travel insurance is up to date. If you are taking out a new policy, make sure that you are covered for Covid travel disruption, illness, or extended stays due to needing to quarantine or self-isolate. There are plenty of insurance companies that will cover you now, so make sure you read the terms carefully and shop around before making your choice. If you have an annual policy that was taken out before March 2020, you may not be covered for Covid-19 disruptions on new bookings so you may need to take out a new policy.
6. Be flexible!
With travel options more limited this year, now’s the time to explore somewhere new! If you visit Florida every year, why not consider a trip to Disneyland Paris while we wait for borders to re-open? Or if you love rollercoasters of any kind, 2020 is the year to make the most of some of the best home-grown theme parks in the country – Alton Towers and Thorpe Park are both hugely popular with guests and will be open until the end of October.
If your travel plans change at the last minute, don’t panic, if you’ve followed the advice above you should be in a great position to rethink and rebook.
*The following tickets are excluded from the Free COVID Cover Offer: All Disneyland Paris Tickets, all Dubai Parks and Resorts Tickets, all Las Vegas Shows, all Sports Tickets.
