Walt Disney World Resort
For families wanting to be in the heart of the action, Disney’s Old Key West Resort & Spa and Walt Disney Swan & Dolphin Resort are located in Walt Disney World Resort. They both offer complimentary transportation to Orlando’s theme parks and are walking distance to Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studio and Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. Disney’s Old Key West Resort & Spa offers free Magical Express transfers from Orlando International Airport. Families on a budget with younger children will love Disney’s All-Star Movie Resort and Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, close to Walt Disney World Resort and Disney’s Hollywood Studios Theme Park, offering complimentary shuttle services throughout the day. The FREE Magical Express service is available from the airport to both of the hotels and is a 30 minute drive.
Universal Orlando Resort
Universal Orlando Resort is a perfect location for film-obsessed families with Universal tickets, a fantastic theme park for families with older children and teenagers. Both Hard Rock Hotel and Portofino Bay Hotel, a Loews Hotel, are walking distance to Universal Studios and Universal’s Islands of Adventure and offer FREE regular shuttle services to all of Orlando’s theme parks. The airport is a 25 minute drive and the hotels offer an airport shuttle service with minimal fees.
International Drive has five of the world’s top theme parks; SeaWorld, Discovery Cove, Wet ‘n Wild, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, not to mention great restaurants, renowned shopping experiences, mega entertainment complexes and family style attractions. Days Inn International Drive and Best Western Orlando Getaway are fantastic choices for water-loving families as they are within walking distance or a short drive to Aquatica, SeaWorld and Wet ‘n Wild. They offer FREE shuttle services to various theme parks and Best Western Orlando Getaway has a complimentary I-Ride Trolley Service to explore the International Drive Area. Located 25 minutes to the airport, Days Inn International Drive offers a free shuttle service and Best Western Orlando Getaway offers a shuttle service costing from $19 per person one way. s
Marriott’s Grand Vista and Hilton Grand Vacation Club are situated at the Southern end of International Drive, which is great for families wanting to be close to SeaWorld and Walt Disney World Resort. As well as offering self-parking, Marriott’s Grand Vista has a low cost I-Ride Trolley to local International Drive attractions and The Hilton offers a shuttle service to the parks. They are a 25 minute drive to the airport but do not offer a shuttle service.
Lake Buena Vista Area
The Lake Buena Vista Area is close to all of Orlando’s attractions offering an array of accommodation in a tranquil area of cool lakes, marine life and lush green fields. Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Caribe Royale Resort Orlando, Best Western Lake Buena Vista Hotel, Blue Heron Resort are a 30 minute drive to the airport, all of them apart from Caribe Royale Resort Orlando offer airport shuttle services for a fee. There are free shuttle services to Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Orlando and SeaWorld.
Grande Lakes Area
Grande Lakes is the epitome of luxury in Orlando, situated in over 500 acres of lush, tropical landscape yet minutes from Orlando’s theme parks. Grande Lakes consists of two world-class hotels; JW Marriott Orlando Resort and the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes, a five minute drive to SeaWorld, Discovery Cove and Aquatica. They both offer free shuttle services to SeaWorld, Universal Orlando Resort and Wet ‘n Wild. Located 20 minutes from the airport but there is not a complimentary shuttle service available.
The Kissimmee Area
Kissimmee is known for its themed dinner theatres, swamp tours and outdoor activities, great for families with small children who want to be in a quieter location. Champions World Resort Orlando, Radisson Worldgate and Omni Orlando Resort at Champions Gate are a five minute drive to Walt Disney World Resort and offer regular free shuttle services to SeaWorld, Universal Orlando and Wet n’Wild. There are also airport shuttle services available for the 30 minute drive for an additional fee.
