Disney's Magic Kingdom - New Magical Memories
Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is Undergoing its Biggest Expansion Ever
The largest expansion Disney World’s Magic Kingdom has ever experienced will increase the size of Fantasyland, almost doubling the Fantasyland area. Due to the enormity of this project the new and improved Fantasyland will open in stages throughout 2012, and should be fully active by the end of 2013.

More magical moments are on the way at one of the world's most magical theme parks...

Disney Imagineers have created various new and innovative ways to enhance the Disney experience, proposing to submerge guests in the Disney romance and fiction as never before. Fantasyland 2013 introduces a brand new Little Mermaid attraction, a unique dining experience at the Be Our Guest Restaurant, and a quaint and novel meeting place for guests to rendezvous with some of the most recent, as well as the much loved classic, Disney princesses.

Under the Sea Journey of the Little Mermaid: Against the setting of a song selection of classics from the film, guests will journey through this under water adventure alongside Ariel and friends, tackling the waves and the deep blue sea.

The Castle of the Beast: Upon a hill top across an old stone bridge from Ariel’s home stands The Castle of the Beast. Disney guests are invited to dine in the Beast’s kitchen, The Be Our Guest Restaurant. Offering a full on luxurious dining experience in an alluring ballroom, a beautiful gallery and the mystical West Wing, the Be Our Guest Restaurant serves “great food fast” during the day and a full  table service in the evening.

Enchanted Tales with Belle: A stone throw away from Belle’s cottage is Maurice’s workshop, where the Enchanted Tales with Belle begins. A magical mirror located in the workshop is the doorway to the Beast’s library, where guests will be captivated by an imaginative and lively storytelling experience with Belle and Lumiere.

In Belle’s village Disney guests will also find Gaston’s Tavern and Bonjour! Village Gifts.

The Seven Dwarfs Mine Train: This musical roller coaster ride is the first to employ a groundbreaking ride system that allows the roller coaster cars to swing back and forth, making them extremely sensitive and responsive to every twist and turn the track takes. The roller coaster takes riders through a diamond encrusted mine accompanied by music from the original Disney film.

Princess Fairytale Hall: Taking the place of Snow White’s Scary Adventures is the Princess Fairytale Hall. The Disney princesses, Cinderella, Aurora, Tiana, Rapunzel and others, welcome Disney guests to their new home, an exquisite regal court.

Storybook Circus: The Storybook Circus not only offers an updated Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction, which features two circling carousels with ornately painted airborne elephants, but is filled with a huge helping of fun and entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

Barnstormer: Goofy’s Barnstormer, located next door to the Storybook Circus receives a magical makeover, as does Goofy, who reappears as the twisting turning Great Goofini. This new roller coaster ride sends riders soaring high above the circus amusement.

Disney goers can expect to see the new rides, Disney characters, castles and concepts alongside an abundance of new family games and interactive wonders. Although Disney Imagineers never fail to surpass the imaginations of their guests, this expansion is set to exceed expectations with even more gusto than ever before. The enhanced Fantasyland is forecasted to be in full swing by 2013, ensuring an even greater experience in an even greater park.
