Earth Day Celebrations at Disney World
Disney’s Animal Kingdom hosts 'Party for the Planet'!
Disney World has announced a nine day Party for the Planet to celebrate Earth Day on the 22nd April. The party begins on the 13th April 2012.

Disney World has unveiled the entertainment in place to pay homage to the planet for Earth Day and we can confirm that the animal fans amongst you headed to the park with your Disney tickets are in for a planet friendly treat. Disney’s Animal Kingdom will host the Party for the Planet, a nine day celebration, beginning on the 13th April leading right up to the big day on the 22nd April.

This particular Earth Day focuses on the Chimpanzee, inspired by Disney Nature’s documentary film titled Chimpanzee, which will be released in cinemas on the 20th April. The docu-film tells the story of an orphaned Chimpanzee and the bond he forms with the chimp that takes the role of his guardian.

Full Earth Day festivities will take place on the 13th and the 22nd April, with tons of fun and inventive ways to learn about the planet we live in and gain an insightful look into the life and conservation of Chimpanzees.
