Whether you want to try your hand at gaming in its huge casinos or plan to enjoy some of Las Vegas' nightlife and attractions, it is fair to say that this particular town serves up a non-stop cocktail of fun and excitement to all of its visitors, all-year round.

Of course, one of the things that makes ‘Sin City’ so lively once the sun goes down is its vibrant and varied bar scene. As you would expect, there is a fantastic range of both weird and wonderful watering holes to choose from for those planning a night out in Vegas and, in this article, we will introduce you to our favourites.

Millennium Fandom Bar

Millennium Fandom Bar - Sign

Where to find it: 900 S Las Vegas Blvd #140, NV 89101

Our first choice is possibly one of the most unusual and fun bars not just in Las Vegas but possibly throughout the US.

The Millennium Fandom Bar is the perfect place to go for anyone who is a huge fan of films, TV, games, comics and much more. Given the number and range of events that are held there, you will almost certainly meet others who are into the same genres as you! Alex Pusineri, owner of the Millennium Fandom Bar, told us more about why his venture is such a unique place to have a drink:

“MFB is the first Fandom bar in the world, opened on 11/05/2015 (remember, remember the fifth of November!).

Millennium Fandom Bar - Your Favourite Cosplay Night (19/5/2017)

“I’m from Paris but I decided to open it in Las Vegas, the capital of entertainment in the world. And we are ‘The Cosplay place’ to go in Las Vegas: ‘Cosplay or not, let’s Fandom!!’ is our motto!

“We embrace all kinds of Fandom, from superheroes to black & white movies, movies, TV series, video games, comic books, graphic novels, manga, anime and sci-fi. We have a Fandom Art Gallery, Fandom theme nights every weekend, Fandom DJs, and are starting ‘Fandom Weddings & Divorces’ parties in February when our new website is ready.

“We now serve 9” and 12” natural Italian pizzas.

“21+Only. No smoking, no gambling, no sports, just Fandom!”

Mandarin Bar

Where to find it: 3752 S Las Vegas Blvd, NV 89158

If you prefer the idea of relaxing in comfort and style in a classic cocktail bar, on the other hand, you will not be surprised to learn that Las Vegas also has these in abundance. Many of these tend to be housed within some of the city’s most sophisticated hotels, and among the finest examples is the Mandarin Bar, which is an integral part of the Mandarin Oriental.

Here’s what the team at the hotel had to say about their most popular drinking spot: “Located on the 23rd floor of the hotel, Mandarin Bar offers views across the strip with its floor to ceiling windows. Our hotel Mixologist and team hand craft fresh original cocktails with a local and Asian twist tailored to your taste. Executive Chef David Werly’s innovative dishes complement perfectly for a pre-show meal or light fare during sundowners. With a chic décor incorporating dark wood floors, jewel-toned armchairs and high-backed bar stools, the bar exudes a contemporary and relaxed style.

Mandarin Bar - City view

“William Perbellini was born and raised in Verona, Italy where he developed an interest in culinary creations at a young age before realizing that mixology was his true passion. Bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience with him to Mandarin Oriental, Las Vegas, he shares his enthusiasm for his craft with the Mandarin Bar team. In addition, the Mandarin Bar also has a private room, known as The Edge, which can accommodate up to 30 people, an ideal venue for private parties and events.”

Skyfall Lounge

Where to find it: 3940 S Las Vegas Blvd, NV 89119

Similarly, the beautiful Skyfall Lounge is at the summit of the Delano Las Vegas hotel and is a space offering both the opportunity to enjoy a quiet drink and to party the night away. The exciting atmosphere is complemented by a fantastic cocktail menu, and the team at Skyfall were able to tell us more about both their wonderful setting and the drinks available there:

“Skyfall Lounge, perched atop Delano Las Vegas, boasts one of the most stunning views in Las Vegas of the Las Vegas Strip starting from the moment you step into the glass-walled elevator. The lounge offers an evolving nightlife experience that increases in tempo as the night progresses. The lounge opens at 5 p.m. daily and DJ music begins at 9 p.m.

Skyfall Lounge - Interior

“The intensive cocktail selection includes light, refreshing sips like the Victim of Elegance (champagne Alain Ducasse, Aperol, strawberry, dry vermouth and lemon juice) and indulgent punch bowls perfect for groups, like the Pink Flamingo Punch (featuring Absolut Elyx, dry vermouth, Aperol, strawberry syrup, lemon juice, and champagne Alain Ducasse). Park on Fremont

Where to find it: 506 Fremont St, NV 89101

Las Vegas is known as a party town, but that doesn’t mean that those who visit and live there can’t take some time to chill out. If you are keen on kicking back with some fine food and drink without having to worry about what the dress code may be, the perfect place to visit is Park on Fremont.

Both rustic and cutting-edge, this wonderfully unique bar should definitely be added to your Vegas itinerary. Below, you can find out some more about what patrons can expect when they visit from the Park on Fremont team themselves.

Park on Fremont - cocktails selection

“Park on Fremont brings a laid-back vibe to the bustling downtown Las Vegas neighborhood. The back patio garden includes artwork created from items such as a Cinderella-style carriage, a seesaw and mosaic hopscotch complemented by lush greenery and vibrant décor. Another truly laid-back place to relax after a hard day of…well, relaxing, is RHUMBAR. This bar offers a taste of the Caribbean right in the middle of Vegas, and is a particularly great place to go if you like to savour a high quality cigar with your cocktail.

RHUMBAR - Main bar

RHUMBAR told us a little more about what guests can enjoy there both during the day and when the sun goes down: “RHUMBAR is a highly stylized cocktail and cigar lounge inspired by the cool mood of the Caribbean. The plush outdoor patio is reminiscent of a tropical retreat offering a picturesque location for guests to mingle, sip cocktails and smoke cigars and/or hookah.

“RHUMBAR is located near the entrance of The Mirage with a fabulous view of the Las Vegas Strip. The lounge and patio are open from noon until 1 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday, and noon until 2 a.m. Thursday through Saturday.”

Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas

Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas - Bar

Where to find it: 4510 Paradise Rd, NV 89169

We are all aware of the amazing spirit and fun of the traditional German beer house but how many of us have actually taken the time to visit one, whether in the country itself or via any of the replica bars which exist in the UK and US?

Fortunately, if you have a visit to Vegas planned, you will be able to experience that classic beer hall vibe at the incredibly authentic Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas. Some more information about the history that inspired the Hofbrauhaus and what guests can find there was shared with us by the team at the bar and can be found below.

Hofbrauhaus Las Vegas - Beer

“The bar, located inside the boisterous Bier Hall of the Hofbräuhaus Las Vegas, has been a Vegas attraction for over 15 years. It is the only authentically licensed replica of the original Bier Hall in Munich, Germany that has catered to royalty since its beginning. With over 400 years of Bavarian brewing experience, our German engineered flavor will inspire the palette of any beer connoisseur. While you’re here, try one of our original beer cocktails or a more traditional shot of Jägermeister. We are THE PLACE TO BE to enjoy sporting events and build comradery with your fellow fans.”

The Dorsey

The Dorsey - Bar

Where to find it: 3355 S Las Vegas Blvd #200, NV 89109

As you will already have gathered, cocktail bars based in hotels are huge in Las Vegas (both physically and in terms of their popularity), and another fine example of this is The Dorsey, which in late 2016 opened within The Venetian Las Vegas.

The Dorsey is proud of both its plush furnishings and extraordinary cocktails which, despite their luxurious elegance, are designed to make their guests feel completely relaxed and at home. Amazing digital wall art and a huge fireplace present the perfect backdrop in which to enjoy the delicious, innovative drinks which are served by the expert mixologists behind the bar.

The Dorsey - Apologies, Wilson

Here’s a sample, from The Dorsey itself, of some of their very best offerings: “Highlights from the menu include the Penicillin (scotch, fresh lemon, ginger & honey, Islay float), which New York Times named on its list of 11 essential drinks of the ‘modern cocktail revival’; Let’s Elope (gin, fresh melon, lime, orgeat); East Side Rickey (vodka, cucumber, mint, lime, club soda); A La Louisiane (rye, Benedictine, Italian vermouth, absinthe, bitters); Coney Island Express (rum, cold brew coffee, vanilla, Amaro Ciociaro); Creole Punch (rum, pineapple, ginger, citrus, allspice, nutmeg) and much more. The Dorsey also boasts a full-service bar with a collection of spirits, beer and wine.”
