As if Harrods or Disney could be any more magical, the two iconic household names up the ante and combine spectacular luxury with the captivating and enchanting Princesses of Disney’s whimsical fairytales for a magical Christmas treat for luxury fashion lovers and Disney devotees.
Harrods and Disney Collaborate for Christmas 2012!
The magic of Harrods and Disney combine!
This Christmas Harrods hosts a series of magical Disney events, paying homage to the enchanting Disney Princesses.
The luxury department store will embrace the magical Disney spirit for Christmas by hosting a 7,000 square feet Disney pop up boutique on the 4th floor, selling limited edition merchandise inspired by the adored Disney Princesses Ariel, Aurora (Sleeping Beauty), Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Mulan, Pocahontas, Rapunzel, Snow White and Tiana.
"Collaborating with Disney this year is an exciting prospect for the store, as it allows us to combine luxury and fashion with fantasy and nostalgia to execute a show-stopping Christmas," said Mark Briggs, store image director at Harrods.
Famed for its spectacular Christmas window displays, Harrods will also showcase some magical Disney inspired window displays, with the Princesses at the heart of the story behind the vision. The windows will feature Disney Princess inspired haute couture dresses designed by the likes of high end fashion geniuses Oscar de la Renta, Valentino and Versace. Fashionistas amongst you, the window displays will be unveiled at the Knightsbridge Department store some time in November.
We have no doubt that the pop up boutique and the dresses, most importantly the dresses, will be dreamy and magical beyond imagination. But, truth be told, it might be cheaper to purchase Disney tickets and have a magical Christmas in the happiest place on earth than it will be to purchase one of these Disney Princess inspired dresses.
If you’re headed to Orlando over the Christmas, be sure to purchase your Disney tickets, you won’t want to miss out on the magic a visit to Disney World can bring to your Christmas holiday - why else would you be in Orlando at this time of year?!
