Lego madness, amazing water rides, good food, fun times and a Guinness world record at LEGOLAND Florida!
Caught up in all the hype of the wet and rainy Jubilee Weekend just gone, it may have slipped your mind that LEGOLAND Florida’s water park opened a week ago. Never mind, we are here to keep you updated on all things Florida concerned!
We recently told you that LEGOLAND would be attempting to claim the Guinness World Record for the most people bouncing beach balls as part of the park’s grand opening. We are delighted to share with you that the grand opening of LEGOLAND Florida Water Park was a splashing success and that those of you with your LEGOLAND tickets that participated in the big bounce were successful in claiming the Guinness World Record! The joint effort between LEGOLAND Florida staff and park guests resulted in 1,355 beach balls bouncing, smashing the previous record of 401!
After achieving the world record, park guests celebrated in the new LEGOLAND Florida Water Park, jumping waves at the 583,000 gallon wave pool, shooting down slippery wet water slides and building LEGO rafts to drift along the 1000 foot lazy river. The Beach n Brick Grille restaurant was a god send for those that had worked up an appetite after all that splashing, swimming and building. Serving up Jerk Chicken, Mahi Mahi and, our particular favourite, pulled pork sandwiches, the Grille is definitely a tasty treat!
