'Man or Muppet' wins Walt Disney Pictures an Oscar
Walt Disney Pictures creates yet another award winning original song...
Walt Disney Pictures The Muppets 2011 film won the Oscar for Best Original Song at this years 84th Academy Awards. The award winning song 'Man or Muppet', written by Bret Mckenzie, won Walt Disney Pictures its first ever Academy Award for a Muppets film.

We are delighted to share with all our Disney fans that Walt Disney Pictures came away from the 84th Academy Awards, better known as the Oscars, one golden statue richer. Disney’s 2011 film The Muppets was nominated in the Music/Original Song category for the ‘Man or Muppet’ song, music and lyrics written by actor Bret Mckenzie. ‘Man or Muppet’ was up against the song ‘Real in Rio’ from the animated film Rio, winning The Muppets its first ever Oscar.

Last year ‘We belong together’ from Toy Story 3 stole the Oscar for the same Music/Original Song category. Other such Academy Award winning Walt Disney Pictures are The Incredibles, Ratatouille and Up for Best Animated Feature, Mary Poppins for Best Actress and Alice in Wonderland for Best Costume Design.

However, where Walt Disney Pictures continues to exceed itself is in the Best Original Score and Song categories, picking up Oscars for Disney masterpieces like The Little Mermaid, the Lion King, Aladdin and Monsters Inc, all of which have been brought to life as thrilling  theme park experiences at Walt Disney World Orlando.

Disney tickets are the perfect way to see these magnificent Walt Disney films come to life!
