On the 6th and 7th of November Tom Hanks and the Saving Mr Banks film crew will head to Disneyland to begin filming the new film starring Tom as Walt Disney himself!
If you happen to be headed to Disneyland on the 6th or 7th November you could be in for making a celebrity spotting with one of Hollywood’s most critically acclaimed actors, Tom Hanks. The Forest Gump star will be spending these couple of days at the happiest place on earth, however unlike you all visiting on a pursuit of recreation, Tom will be working on his latest film Saving Mr Banks.
We first introduced you to Saving Mr Banks back in April when the film was in very early stages of development. The film chronicles the making of the film adaptation of Mary Poppins, which prior to becoming a Disney Picture in 1964, was a series of books written by P L Tavers, played by Emma Thompson. Saving Mr Banks tells the tale of P L Tavers disappointment with Disney’s adaptation. Mr Banks, referred to in the title, is Tavers father and will be played by Colin Farrell, however we are not quite sure of the significance Mr Banks plays in the film just yet.
Disney are keeping quiet about where exactly in the Anaheim California park the cast and crew will be filming and won’t be revealing any filming locations till guests arrive at the park on the specified days.
So, if you’re in California over the 6th and 7th November, you might want to make a bee-line to Disneyland California
and keep your eyes peeled for Tom Hanks as Mr Walt Disney himself!
