Original Walt Disney Drawing Auctioned in Reno

Original Walt Disney Drawing Auctioned in Reno
There was a unique chance for Disney fans around the world this week as an original drawing by Walt Disney went up for sale in Reno.

The autographed drawing, thought to date back to 1920, features a whimsical drawing of a cigar-chomping, derby hat wearing, man. The fact that it’s not one of his more famous characters may mean it will sell for a lower price, but that didn’t stop the auctioneers putting a $35,000 to $50,000 estimation on it.

The illustration, titled Fill Up My Can, is also though to predate the first Mickey Mouse drawing, which made its cartoon debut in 1928. If you want to meet the more modern Disney characters though, there really is only one way to do it: take a trip to Disneyland. With such great deals on Disney tickets too you can experience your own little bit of Disney magic without having to pay $50,000.
