After a hugely popular first year, Bier Fest is returning to Busch Gardens in Tampa Bay. Yippee!
Round Two kicks off on August 17 and runs every weekend until September 8, including Labor Day weekend.
Similar to last year, the event will feature over 40 local and international breweries. However, following the success of the first festival in 2018, the 2019 Bier Fest will showcase 40 NEW brews to try, NEW pub-inspired fare, and live entertainment too.
To celebrate the park’s 60th anniversary, Busch Gardens has actually been pouring out complimentary beer samples all year long. These samples will continue to flow at the Garden Gate Café during Bier Fest, which is located in the heart of the festival footpath.
Beer connoisseurs will get the chance to create the perfect pairing, by mixing delicious food favourites, drinks, and amazing live music.
Local craft brews and international delights alike will be on offer to enjoy throughout the festival plaza. Pumpkin and fruity ciders and other seasonal flavours are also new to the festival this year, as well as gluten-free options too.
Here’s a look at some of the 20 Florida-based breweries and over a dozen Tampa Bay favourites that will be showcased at Bier Fest 2019:
3 Daughters Brewing
Cigar City Brewing
Crooked Thumb Brewing
Florida Avenue Brewing Co.
Orange Blossom Trail Brewing Co.
Tampa Bay Brewing Co.
It’s not just food on offer this year either - what do you think that beer is washing down, anyway?
All new culinary creations include tacos, melts, sliders and other hand-held bites. Try the reimagined schnitzelwich slider, the parks take on schnitzel served on a pretzel roll with Swiss cheese and maple-bacon honey mustard.
If sweet is more your thing, you’ll love the grilled cheesecake melt, served on mouth watering pound cake with sweet cream filling, grilled and topped with guava sauce at the all-new Melted Munchies cabin. Yummy!
Finally, if a ‘light’ snack is what you’re after, you could try the sweet potato fries with marshmallow dipping sauce. Or how about fried pretzel sticks with beer cheese dipping sauce.
If you’re at Bier Fest on a hot day too, don’t worry - you can easily cool off with all-new float combinations. Try the Hard Coffee Float (Pabst Blue Ribbon Hard Coffee served over chocolate soft serve ice cream) or if you’re a wine lover, the Rosé Float (Astoria sparkling rosé moscato over vanilla ice cream) is perfect for you.
Entrance to Bier Fest is included with your ticket, which you can buy from us here.
Food and beverage is not included, and purchasing a Bier Fest Sampler Lanyard is a good option if you want a taste of multiple brews and bites. Starting at $29.99, the Samplers allow you a choice of five or ten food or beverage samples throughout the festival.
Guests must be 21 years of age and older to consume any alcoholic beverages.
