Summer is all about one thing and one thing only: beer festivals. And at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, they’ll be celebrating the best of the brews at their second Bier Fest.
Bier Fest is a food and drink festival event featuring over 40 local and international breweries. Following the huge success of the first event in 2018, this year’s festival will offer 40 new brews to try, new pub-inspired fare, and loads of live entertainment to enjoy.
Round Two kicks off on August 17 and runs every weekend until September 8, including Labor Day.
Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has actually been pouring out complimentary beer samples all year long, as part of the park’s 60th anniversary celebration. These samples will continue to flow at the Garden Gate Café, located in the very heart of the festival footpath throughout Bier Fest.
Beer connoisseurs will be able to create the ideal pairing with delicious food favourites and listen to live music from fantastic local acts.
Taste Florida’s finest craft brews to tantalising international delights, and explore new flavours throughout the festival plaza. Brand new to Bier Fest are seasonal flavours such as pumpkin and fruity ciders, with gluten-free flavours available too.
Some of the brewery’s you could be tasting from include:
3 Daughters Brewing
Cigar City Brewing
Crooked Thumb Brewery
Florida Avenue Brewery Co.
Orange Blossom Trail Brewing Co.
Tampa Bay Brewing Co.
All-new culinary creations include tacos, melts, and other bites. Feast on the newly-imagined schnitzelwich slider, which is Busch Gardens’ take on schnitzel, served on a pretzel roll with Swiss cheese and maple-bacon honey mustard.
Treat yourself to a sweet grilled cheesecake melt, served on mouthwatering pound cake with a sweet cream filling, all grilled and topped with guava sauce - available at the all-new Melted Munchies cabin.
For something a little different (but a classically American flavour), grab a quick bite of sweet potato fries served with marshmallow dipping sauce. Or how about fried pretzel sticks with beer cheese dipping sauce?
You can cool off by enjoying all-new floats featuring unique combinations like the Hard Coffee Float - Pabst Blue Ribbon Hard Coffee served over chocolate soft serve ice-cream. For all you wine lovers, there’s a Rosé float too, created with Astoria sparkling rose moscato over vanilla ice-cream.
The best way to enjoy the many flavours of Bier Fest is with the purchase of a Bier Fest Sampler Lanyard, which starts at $29.99. These will allow you a choice of any five or ten food or beverage samples throughout the festival.
Food and drink are not included with the park admission, and is available for an additional fee. All guests must be aged 21 years or older to consume alcoholic beverages.
