Disney Preps the Epcot Topiaries
Nothing beats waking up to sunshine quite like waking up to a bright and sunny Monday morning, and indeed, today the capital is bathed in sunshine! Although many would agree that the first day of spring begins around the 20th March, we're pretty sure that for Disney fans, especially green fingered Disney goers, spring begins about the time that Disney World opens the gates of Epcot for the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival! Epcot's International Flower and Garden Festival signifies the warmer months are approaching, bringing with them brighter and longer days filled with blooming Cherry blossoms, flowering daffodils, butterflies, Easter festivities and that brilliant feeling that all is new again. Disney fans will be more than delighted to know that time is now! Epcot's International Flower and Garden Festival begins this Wednesday the 6th March!
The horticulturists over at Disney World have been busy preparing the topiaries for the flower fest and with over one hundred topiaries on display at the festival, you can imagine this is no easy task! Horticulturists work for six months in the lead up to the launch of the festival in order to have Epcot blossoming in all its glory. This 2013, the flower fest sees it's 20th Flower and Garden festival at Epcot, bringing even more topiaries to the park than ever before, even more elaborately designed with a greater variety of plants and flowers.
