Most people visiting Orlando for a theme park holiday tend to spend at least one day outside of the parks, to explore Orlando at a more relaxed pace and see what else the city has to offer. If you’re looking for things to do in Orlando, we’ve got just the thing. ICON Orlando is an impressive 400-foot-tall observation wheel that offers spectacular views of Orlando. If you want to see it for yourself, there are 3 different ways…
1. ICON Orlando Ticket
If you want to enjoy the best views of Orlando, this is the way to do it. This iconic observation wheel takes you on an aerial adventure of Central Florida, boasting 360-degree views of the nearby theme parks. You’ll even be able to see the famous Kennedy Space Center in the distance. Whether you're visiting with friends, family or as a couple this is an experience that's not to be missed.
ICON Orlando is the tallest observation wheel on the United States East Coast, weighing a staggering 3-million pounds! You’ll get to see it up close as you climb into a capsule and set off on your journey. There are iPads on board which will tell you everything you need to know about your stunning surroundings.
Whether you’re visiting for a special occasion or just want to do something different, this is an experience you won’t forget. Your ICON Orlando ticket is fully flexible so you can visit at any time of day, although we’d recommend just before sunset if you want to experience plenty of picture perfect moments.
2. ICON Orlando Champagne Experience
The ICON Orlando Champagne Experience is the perfect option for those of you wanting to celebrate something special. Prepare to ascend 400-feet into the air whilst sipping on a refreshing glass of champagne and make a toast to your unforgettable holiday.
Admire the panoramic views along the way and be sure to take plenty of photos too. See if you can spot Epcot’s Spaceship Earth, the Tower of Terror and the Cinderella Castle. If you choose to visit at night, you might even be lucky enough to see one of Disney’s dazzling firework displays in the distance.
3. ICON Orlando Fly and Dine
If you want to make your ICON Orlando experience even more special, you can choose the ICON Orlando Fly and Dine ticket. Like the name suggests, this gives you the chance to experience an exciting flight on the ICON Orlando before enjoying a tasty meal.
There are two different dining options to choose from- fast casual and full service, and your ticket entitles you to an appetiser, entrée and dessert. If you just want to grab a quick bite on the go, opt for a fast casual restaurant which includes Shake Shack, iCafe de Paris and UNO Express.
If you’d prefer a sit-down meal, the full service restaurants include live music venue Tin Roof, Tapa Toro Spanish Restaurant and Sugar Factory, which is an American brasserie that specialises in sweet treats. You can choose from dishes like fresh pasta, succulent strip steak, pan roasted salmon or, if you’re feeling adventurous, go for the ‘donut burger’.
Make sure you check your ticket to find out which time you can visit ICON Orlando. The ICON Orlando ticket is fully flexible which means you can visit whenever you like, but the champagne and Fly and Dine experience have set times. You’ll be able to visit from 5pm on weekdays and from 12pm on weekends until 30 mins before closing time.
